(BNP) - On the afternoon of December 18th, at the Provincial People's Committee Office, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province and Xaysomboun province (Laos) held a working session to evaluate and summarize the cooperation agreement for the period 2021-2025 and sign a cooperation agreement for the period 2026-2030.

The delegation from Xaysomboun province (Laos) included Mr. Phoi Kham - Hung Bun Nhuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Phet Sa May - Pho Xay Nha Vong, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Government Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation from Xaysomboun province to visit and work in Bac Ninh province.
The Secretary expressed his hope that the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Xaysomboun would continue to successfully coordinate the implementation of cooperation contents in various fields after the signing ceremony of the new phase agreement, contributing to further deepening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

For his part, Mr. Phoi Kham - Hung Bun Nhuong stated that Xaysomboun province (Laos) was established on December 13, 2013. In accordance with the policies of the two Parties and States of Vietnam and Laos on building, preserving, and promoting the special friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province (formerly) and the government of Xaysomboun province signed a Cooperation Agreement for the period 2021-2025.
After nearly five years of cooperation, the two provinces have achieved many important results. Both sides have strengthened exchanges on Party building and government building; and leadership and guidance in socio-economic development of the two localities for the 2021-2025 term.

Mr. Phoi Kham-Hung Bun Nhuong expressed his hope that the two localities would continue to have cordial cooperative relations in the future, exchange and share solutions to successfully implement the terms of the cooperation agreement, encourage the full development of relations between the Party committees, governments, and citizens of the two localities, and positively contribute to the long-standing and positive relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on some outstanding achievements in socio-economic development in 2025; and the main goals, tasks, and solutions for implementing the socio-economic development plan in 2026.
Provincial leaders from both sides sign an agreement on cooperation between the two provinces for the period 2026-2030.
At the meeting, Bac Ninh and Xaysomboun provinces continued to implement the cooperation agreement between the two provinces for the period 2026 - 2030.
