(BNP) - On the afternoon of November 20, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son met and worked with the Goertek Group (China) delegation led by Mr. Jiang Hong Zhai, Vice Chairman of the Group, General Director of Goertek Vina Company.

Speaking at the meeting, General Director Jiang Hong Zhai expressed his deep gratitude for the attention, support and facilitation of the province during the past time.
He said that Goertek Group, founded in 2001, is one of the world's leading technology corporations, specializing in the production of electronic products and components, and smart wearable devices. The group is headquartered in China and operates globally.
Goertek Group has invested in Bac Ninh since 2013 by establishing Goertek Vina Co., Ltd. in Que Vo Industrial Park. By 2025, Goertek Group has established 04 companies in Bac Ninh, creating jobs for nearly 70 thousand workers; in which priority is always given to recruiting local workers with professional qualifications in the field of production at the enterprise.
In addition to production projects in the province, Goertek Group also actively participates in social activities in the province such as: Supporting people affected by storms and floods, supporting the Kinh Bac playground program, building solidarity houses in the province...

At the meeting, Chairman Pham Hoang Son was pleased to welcome Mr. Jiang Hong Zhai and respectfully thanked the leaders of Goertek Group for their visit, and personally congratulated him on being assigned by the Central Government to Bac Ninh province in the position of new Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The Chairman said that Bac Ninh province is located in the important economic corridor of the Northern region of Vietnam. In recent years, Bac Ninh has made strong development steps; the province's FDI attraction from the beginning of the year to date has reached over USD 5.3 billion, ranking second in the country, after Ho Chi Minh City.

For Bac Ninh province, China is one of the key investment partners and has made important contributions to the province's economic development, especially in the fields of trade, services and production, promoting technology transfer and expanding production capacity for the province, Son added.

The Chairman hoped that Goertek Group would continue to expand its investment in the province; create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to become partners, participate in the production chain, and supply products for the Group. In addition, the Company continues to support the province in social security activities, education, training, and recruiting workers in the province to work at the Company.
