(BNP) - On the afternoon of November 10, at the Yen Cu Village Cultural House, Yen The Commune, the Vietnam Red Cross Society in coordination with the Bac Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society organized a program to provide financial support and gifts to households affected by storms No. 10 and 11 in Yen The Commune.

Speaking at the program, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Vu Thanh Luu deeply sympathized with the losses of the people of Yen The commune caused by the impact of storms No. 10 and 11. At the same time, he thanked P&G Vietnam Company for accompanying the Red Cross Society, demonstrating the high sense of corporate social responsibility through support and humanitarian relief activities, helping people overcome difficulties after natural disasters.
He hoped that businesses, organizations and kind-hearted individuals would continue to join hands with the Vietnam Red Cross to implement many meaningful programs aimed at the poor, the disadvantaged, and those affected by natural disasters and floods.
The Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society requested local Party committees and authorities to continue to pay attention to and accompany the Red Cross Society in humanitarian work, creating favorable conditions for support activities to reach the right beneficiaries, promptly and effectively, helping people in damaged areas to soon stabilize their lives, restore their livelihoods and develop a sustainable economy.

At the program, the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee, the Bac Ninh Provincial Red Cross and P&G Vietnam Company presented financial support and gifts to 200 households affected by storms No. 10 and 11 with a total value of cash and goods of more than VND 382 million. This is an activity of profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love and support", contributing to helping households quickly overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

Also at the program, P&G Vietnam Company presented a support logo of more than VND 2.5 billion to the Vietnam Red Cross Society and more than VND 800 million to the Bac Ninh Red Cross Society to support the campaign "Connecting millions of hearts - Joining hands to overcome floods" launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society.
