(BNP) - On the afternoon of May 18, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh chaired a working session with departments, sectors, and localities regarding the progress of preparations for the 2026 Conference to promote the consumption of lychees, key and characteristic agricultural products, and OCOP products of Bac Ninh province.
Attending the meeting were representative leaders from various departments and sectors: Industry and Trade; Agriculture and Environment; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Science and Technology; Construction; Finance; Provincial Police; Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station; Bac Ninh Power Company; and the People's Committees of communes and wards with key lychee production areas in the province.

Reporting at the working session, the Department of Industry and Trade stated that the unit had advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue Plan No. 164/KH-UBND on organizing the Conference; issued diplomatic notes inviting agencies and business associations from Guangxi and Yunnan provinces (China) and Vietnamese trade offices in China to attend promotion activities for lychees and key, characteristic agricultural products, and OCOP products of the province.
At the same time, advised the Provincial People's Committee to send invitations to central ministries and branches, trade promotion agencies, distribution enterprises, e-commerce platforms, logistics units, press agencies, and localities within and outside the province.
To date, preparation was being implemented on schedule. The Department of Industry and Trade had assigned specific tasks to its subordinate offices and units; finalized the overall design of the Conference venue, the product promotion display space, and the designs for bags and gift boxes introducing the province's lychees and OCOP products.

Along with that, contents regarding logistics, reception, printing, translation, accommodation arrangements for delegates, communication , and side activities were also being urgently carried out.
It was expected that the Conference would organize many side activities to promote the Bac Ninh lychee brand on digital platforms. These included launching a design contest for beautiful lychee gift packaging and models, a media content creation contest with the "Bac Ninh Lychee - Sweetness Spreading" theme in 2026; an early lychee consumption livestream session in Nam Duong commune on May 20; a sales skills training program on digital platforms in coordination with TikTok Shop, and a lychee consumption promotion livestream session expected to take place on May 28.
At the working session, departments, sectors, and localities focused on discussing coordination plans to ensure security and order, electricity, traffic, propaganda, artistic programs, and the organization of sightseeing and experiential spots in the lychee regions for delegates and tourists, as well as instructing residents on cleaning lychee orchards during visitor tours and harvesting.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh emphasized that the 2026 Conference to promote the consumption of lychees, key and characteristic agricultural products, and OCOP products of Bac Ninh province was an event of great significance in promoting the image and brand of the province's agricultural products, contributing to expanding domestic and foreign markets. Therefore, departments, sectors, and localities should focus highly and proactively coordinate the implementation of tasks to ensure the Conference would take place thoughtfully, solemnly, and effectively.
The Vice Chairman assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to lead and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to review all preparation and proactively handle arising issues; well-organize activities during the Conference and side activities; and fully perform protocol, reception, logistics, souvenirs, and promotional products for delegates attending the Conference.
The Office of the Provincial People's Committee would coordinate to properly perform the reception of delegates, international guests, and VIPs, and arrange reception and conditions for the Conference in accordance with rituals and regulations.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism would urgently finalize a welcoming art program rich in Bac Ninh's cultural identity; and arrange sightseeing and experiential spots in the lychee regions for delegates and tourists.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment would coordinate with localities to properly prepare the display and promotion area for lychees and OCOP products; and select beautiful, typical lychee orchards for sightseeing and experiential activities.
The Provincial Police would develop plans to ensure security, order, and traffic safety, and support international delegations attending the Conference; strengthen the management of foreign traders' activities during the lychee purchasing period in the area; and strictly handle cases of providing false information that affects people's lychee consumption.
Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station would step up communication and promotion of the Conference and the Bac Ninh lychee brand on press and digital media platforms.
The Provincial Management Board of Industrial Zones would coordinate to organize lychee sales points at industrial zones and include lychee products in workers' meals.
Bac Ninh Power Company would ensure stable and continuous power supply throughout the Conference and proactively prepare backup plans to promptly handle any incidents.
The People's Committees of communes and wards would focus on properly preparing the display and promotion space for OCOP products and lychees according to the strengths of each locality; and organize the decoration of the main lobby and Conference entrance to ensure they are beautiful and rich in regional cultural characteristics, creating an impression on attending delegates and tourists.
Agencies and units would urgently implement their assigned tasks and regularly report any difficulties or obstacles arising during implementation to the Provincial People's Committee for timely consideration and direction./.
