(BNP) - In October, although the province was heavily affected by natural disasters and floods, Bac Ninh province made efforts to overcome difficulties, proactively overcome the consequences of natural disasters, stabilize the situation soon, and ensure people's lives. Thanks to that, the socio-economic situation in October and the first 10 months of 2025 continued to remain stable, with many sectors achieving positive results.
The industrial production index for the first 10 months increased by 16.45% over the same period. In October alone, the industrial production index increased by 20.84%.
Of which:
- Food processing production increased by 2.07%
- Apparel production increased by 31.94%
- Production of electronic products, computers and optical products increased by 26.31%
- Water supply donated by 26.43%
Early season rice has been harvested, mid- and late season rice has been harvested on 55,586 hectares, reaching 72.3% of the cultivated area; Other crop planting areas are in the development stage; Winter crop planting area has so far reached 10,797 hectares, reaching 38.8% of the plan.
Total retail sales of goods in October are estimated at VND 11,559 billion, up 7.28% over the same period. The value in 10 months reached VND 118,103 billion, up 16.9% over the same period.
Total import and export value in October is estimated at USD 19.2 billion, up 4.25% over the previous month; 10 months reached USD 149.9 billion, up 4.9% and maintained the 2nd position nationwide.
Domestic budget revenue in October reached VND 3,799 billion. Total state budget revenue in 10 months reached VND 62,302 billion, equal to 110% of the estimate.
In October, the whole province attracted USD 540.78 million of total converted investment capital. Accumulated in 10 months, it reached over USD 16.2 billion of converted investment capital. In terms of FDI attraction alone, Bac Ninh ranked 2nd nationwide.
Administrative reform and government building associated with digital transformation continue to be focused on. Bac Ninh continues to maintain the 1st position nationwide in terms of the index of direction, operation and quality of service to people and businesses.
Education and training activities are implemented synchronously and effectively; focusing on promoting comprehensive and high-quality education, training the national excellent student team for the 2025-2026 school year. Health care and public health care are emphasized.
Cultural and sports activities are organized enthusiastically, notably the province hosting and successfully organizing the National Cheo Festival in 2025.
Poverty reduction, caring for people's lives, and ensuring social security continue to be focused on. Good implementation of preferential policies for people with meritorious services, ensuring timely and appropriate targets.
National defense and security work is deployed comprehensively and effectively; political security and social order and safety in the area are stable. Work to ensure traffic order and safety is deployed synchronously and drastically, traffic accidents are reduced compared to the same period.
