(BNP) - On the afternoon of September 4, at Gia Binh commune, the Provincial Steering Committee for Investment and Construction of Projects Related to Gia Binh International Airport (Provincial Steering Committee) held a launching ceremony for the emulation movement "80 peak days and nights of site clearance, 256 days and nights to complete projects related to Gia Binh International Airport and 468 days and nights to complete the route connecting Gia Binh airport with Hanoi capital - the section passing through Bac Ninh province".

Attending the launching ceremony were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee Nguyen Van Gau; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC), Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan; Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee Nguyen Viet Oanh.
Gia Binh International Airport Project is planned on an area of nearly 2,000 hectares, located in the communes of Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Nhan Thang and Lam Thao, Bac Ninh province.

The project's planning target for the 2021-2030 period is a level 4E airport capable of handling about 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tons of cargo per year. By 2050, the port will be at level 4E, capable of handling around 50 million people and 2.5 million tons of cargo per year. At the same time, the aircraft parking space planned for the passenger and cargo terminals will hold approximately 81 parking places, with the goal of expanding the aircraft parking area to approximately 123 parking positions by 2050, with reserves for extension as needed.
In addition, Bac Ninh province also implemented many related projects such as: The route connecting Gia Binh airport with Hanoi capital; the route connecting provincial road 285B with Gia Binh international airport; the route between Gia Binh international airport project; resettlement projects, relocation works, restoration of technical infrastructure, social infrastructure serving land acquisition and compensation for BT projects...

Launching the emulation movement at the ceremony, Secretary Nguyen Van Gau acknowledged and commended the determination and drastic spirit of agencies, units, localities, contractors and people in implementing the project.

Besides, the Secretary requested the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to focus on leading and directing this project. Departments, branches and localities have plans for each specific part of the work according to the time schedule, with focus and key points; study and refer to valuable experiences of Dong Nai province in land acquisition for Long Thanh airport project to apply to local practice; strengthen inspection and supervision, resolutely not to let negativity, profiteering, and taking advantage of policies occur in implementing tasks.

The Secretary further requested that localities where the project passes through need to mobilize the entire political system to participate; promote the role of leaders of Party committees. The government should strengthen propaganda, mobilization, speed up the progress of site clearance; focus on coordinating the selection of areas and implementing investment in the construction of resettlement areas, schools, agency headquarters, he added.
The Secretary asked investors and contractors to uphold their sense of responsibility, mobilize maximum machinery and equipment, organize scientific construction; improve the quality of works, ensure technical, aesthetic, environmental sanitation, labor safety, and create a cleaner, more beautiful and spacious landscape for the project's development space after completion.

The Secretary hoped that religious dignitaries will accompany the Party Committee and government to regularly propagate and mobilize people of all walks of life to unanimously aim for the noblest goal of future development of the homeland, country, and national strength.
He also requested all levels, sectors, agencies, units and localities to urgently develop specific, practical emulation criteria suitable to actual conditions; promptly show gratitude, reward and commend collectives, individuals, religious dignitaries and people who have made positive and effective contributions in the project implementation process.

At the launching ceremony, representatives from Gia Binh Commune People's Committee and Masterise Group Joint Stock Company spoke in response to the land acquisition and clearance within their management scope and committed to handing over clean land and constructing works and projects to ensure quality and progress as set out.
Representatives of the Provincial People's Committee and related departments and branches signed a commitment to complete project approval, select investors to implement projects related to Gia Binh International Airport. Leaders of units and localities signed a commitment to site clearance and construction progress to implement projects.
On this occasion, 05 households with outstanding achievements in coordination and handover of land for Gia Binh International Airport project received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; construction contractors and workers and laborers working at the projects received gifts from Bac Ninh province.
