(BNP) - On the morning of October 10, the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee organized a workshop on the Provincial Digital Transformation Day 2025 with the theme "Comprehensive, nationwide digital transformation - accelerating and breaking through the development of the digital economy in Bac Ninh province".

Attending the workshop were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan; Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Thi Hang; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son.
According to the report from the Department of Science and Technology, in recent years, both the former provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang consistently ranked among the top 10 nationwide in terms of the Digital Transformation Index. Since the merger, the entire province has achieved 99% 4G coverage and over 50% 5G coverage. The dedicated data transmission network and video conferencing system now reach 100% of communes and wards. The proportion of added value from the digital economy in the province's GRDP exceeds 43%, the highest in the country.
In terms of digital society, 97% of the population have electronic health records linked to the VNeID system; 100% of healthcare and educational institutions have implemented electronic medical records and digital student profiles; and 100% of villages and residential groups have established community digital technology teams.
In the field of digital government, 100% of mandatory administrative procedure records have been digitized; the rate of online submissions reached over 96%, online payments nearly 80%... The province ranked first in the country in terms of service index for people and businesses in handling administrative procedures.

Speaking at the workshop, Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son requested departments, branches, localities, businesses and people to continue to invest in developing telecommunications infrastructure, data centers, and modern, synchronous cloud computing platforms; ensure safety and seamless connectivity from urban to rural areas, creating a solid foundation for the development of the digital economy and digital society; promote the construction, standardization, interconnection, and enrichment of shared databases; continue administrative reform, improve the quality of online public services, and aim for 100% online public services throughout the process.

He encouraged businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, business households, and cooperatives to boldly transform digitally; support the development of e-commerce, digital logistics, digital agriculture, and digital tourism; and form models of "smart factories" and "smart craft villages" suitable to the characteristics of Bac Ninh province.

The Standing Vice Chairman asked units to pay special attention to network safety, security and digital human resource development, ensuring a sustainable and effective digital transformation process. The Provincial People's Committee will strengthen cooperation with universities, research institutes, and technology enterprises to train and foster a team of high-quality digital officials, experts, and engineers as well as raise awareness and skills to ensure information security for officials, civil servants, and people in the entire Bac Ninh province, Son added.
