(BNP) – Towards the 101st anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2026), on the afternoon of June 15, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province solemnly organized a meeting to honor journalists and reporters having attached and accompanied the province.

Attending the meeting were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Huong; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Ha; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Propaganda and Mobilization Commission of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Loi; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nghiem Xuan Huong; leaders of several provincial departments and sectors along with a large number of journalists and reporters from central resident press agencies in the area and local provincial press agencies.
Bac Ninh currently had 03 provincial press agencies; 06 representative offices of central press agencies with nearly 70 resident journalists and reporters covering the locality; and nearly 250 reporters and members from 02 journalism clubs of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang. In recent times, reporters and journalists had not only been news transmitters but also dedicated and committed companions, contributing to spreading the image of a dynamic, innovative, and sentimental Bac Ninh to domestic and international friends. Each journalistic work was a bridge connecting the Party's will and the People's heart, providing vivid slices of the powerful transformation of the Kinh Bac homeland.
In 2025 and the first 5 months of 2026, Bac Ninh continued to affirm its position as one of the country's important growth poles. The relentless efforts of the entire Party, authorities, business community, and People had been proven by telling figures. The GRDP growth rate in 2025 reached 10.27%, with the economic scale exceeding 522 trillion VND, ranking 5th nationwide; exports and imports in the first 5 months of 2026 continued to maintain the leading position in the country; in 2025, Bac Ninh province belonged to the group of top 5 provinces and cities with the best economic governance quality in the country. The fields of culture, society, education, and healthcare continued to receive attention; national defense and security were maintained; and the material and spiritual life of the People was increasingly enhanced. The two-tier local government model, after a period of implementation, had step by step stabilized and operated effectively.

In particular, Bac Ninh was focusing on perfecting conditions and criteria to develop the province into a municipality directly under the Central Government, aiming for a central, modern urban area with a driving role in the Red River Delta. The Scheme to develop Bac Ninh into a municipality directly under the Central Government had been implemented seriously and methodically by the province, with close coordination from relevant agencies and units.
To date, 100% of the central consulted agencies had agreed with the province's guidelines and development orientation. This served as an important foundation for Bac Ninh to continue perfecting the scheme, creating a solid base to realize the aspiration of building the province into a central, dynamic, and modern urban area radiating influence and contributing increasingly to the development of the region and the country. This was not only the fruit of determination and creativity but also the result of the companionship, encouragement, and timely, objective coverage by press agencies regarding all aspects of the province's socio-economic life.

He emphasized that Bac Ninh was entering a new development phase with the great aspiration of becoming a municipality directly under the Central Government before 2030. To realize this goal, the province had been focusing on deploying many key breakthrough projects such as Gia Binh International Airport Project, Ring Road 4 of the Capital Region, high-tech industrial parks, smart cities, etc. At the same time, it set a GRDP growth target for 2026 of between 12.5% and 13%. These were strategic steps, demonstrating a strong aspiration to rise up and affirming Bac Ninh's position on the country's development map.
In the new context, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wished that press agencies, reporters, and journalists would continue to promote their glorious tradition, constantly innovate, create, and reflect truthfully, objectively, and timely the province's achievements, difficulties, and challenges. Let the press be a solid bridge between the government and the People, a companion, the 'eyes and ears', and the 'voice' contributing to spreading good values, encouraging patriotic emulation movements, while critiquing, monitoring, and giving constructive feedback for Bac Ninh to develop rapidly and sustainably.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Bac Ninh provincial leaders always respected, listened to, and committed to creating the most favorable conditions for press agencies and journalists to operate and access information transparently, accurately, and timely. Simultaneously, they regarded the press as a reliable companion and an important partner in the cause of building and developing a wealthy, beautiful, civilized, and modern Bac Ninh homeland.
On behalf of the outstanding reporters speaking at the meeting, reporter Tran Thi Thanh Huyen from the Provincial Newspaper, Radio and Television Station stated that as those operating directly at the grassroots level, reporters were always deeply aware of their responsibility in conveying fully, accurately, and timely the Party's guidelines, State's policies, and the province's direction to officials, Party members, and the People. Each news item, article, and reportage not only reflected events but also contributed to propagating guidelines, orienting public opinion, and creating unity in awareness and action across society.

However, in the context of the information explosion and fierce competition from social networks, the journalism profession also faced many challenges. A reporter needed to be not only fast but also accurate; not only reflect timely but also have depth, humanism, and persuasiveness. This required every journalist to constantly study, improve professional qualifications, multi-platform operating skills, master new technologies, and maintain political mettle and professional ethics; thereby, contributing to spreading positive values, advanced examples, and the development aspirations of the new Bac Ninh region.
She wished to continue receiving attention and favorable conditions from provincial leaders, departments, boards, sectors, and localities in providing official and timely information; and strengthening exchanges with the press so that media agencies would have the conditions to reflect objectively and comprehensively both achievements and issues arising in practice, thereby improving the quality of propaganda and the effectiveness of policy communication. The team of journalists in Bac Ninh province determined that they would always accompany the locality's development, continue to maintain political mettle and professional ethics, promote a spirit of responsibility, creativity, and dedication so that each journalistic work truly served as a bridge between the Party and the People, contributing to building an image of a post-merger Bac Ninh being united, innovative, dynamic, developing, and rich in cultural identity./.
