Bac Ninh provincial delegation attends first working session of 1th National Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front

(BNP) – Under the theme “Unity – Democracy – Innovation – Creativity – Development,” the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front officially opened its first working session on the afternoon of May 11 in Hanoi. Attending the Congress, the Bac Ninh provincial delegation included 20 official delegates led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, along with representatives of various social strata, ethnic groups, religions, armed forces, and Fatherland Front officials at all levels across the province.

The 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is a historical milestone, marking the beginning of a new operational term for the organization with a new scale and development path, as political and social organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State are placed under the direct control of the VFF.

The Congress was attended by 1,136 official delegates representing various classes, strata of the people, ethnic groups, religions, armed forces, overseas Vietnamese, and VFF officials at all levels.

Regarding the structure, there were 381 female delegates (33.5%); 528 delegates who were not Party members (46.4%); 274 delegates from ethnic minorities (24.1%); and 207 delegates from religious groups (18.2%). The delegates included 17 Vietnamese citizens residing abroad (1.6%); 157 business representatives (13.8%); and 360 full-time Front Committee officials (31.6%).

899 delegates held a university degree or higher (79%), including 67 Professors, Associate Professors - PhDs; 111 PhDs; 316 Master's degrees; and 405 Bachelor's degrees. Regarding age, 37 delegates were under 30 (3.3%); 128 were between 31 and 40 (11.2%); and 294 were between 41 and 50 (25.8%).

326 delegates were between 51 and 60 (28.8%). 221 delegates aged 61-70 (19.4%); 111 delegates aged 71-80 (9.8%); and 19 delegates aged 81 and above (1.7%).

During the first working session, the Congress elected the Presidium and Secretariat; discussed and approved the Congress agenda and working regulations; and heard presentations on the review report of the activities of the Central Committee, the Presidium, and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024–2026 term, as well as the proposal on amendments and supplements to the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Congress also conducted discussions in five thematic groups simultaneously.

The 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will take place from May 11-13. Tomorrow, the Congress will hold its official opening session at the National Convention Center.

Before the preliminary session of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026-2031, this morning, the delegation visited the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Bac Son Martyrs' Memorial (Hanoi).
