(BNP) – According to Bac Ninh Provincial Statistics, in April 2026, the province's Industrial Production Index (IIP) is estimated to have increased by 0.51% compared to the previous month and by 17.8% compared to the same period last year.

In particular, compared to the same period last year, some first-level industrial sectors such as: Water supply, waste management and treatment activities are estimated to have increased by 24.78%; processing and manufacturing industries are estimated to have increased by 18%; electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning production and distribution are estimated to have increased by 3.66%. Several second-tier industries showed high growth rates compared to the same period last year, including: electronic components (estimated increase of 99.56%), other processing and manufacturing industries (estimated increase of 75.59%), waste collection, treatment and disposal, and scrap recycling (estimated increase of 35.85%), manufacturing of other transport vehicles (estimated increase of 35.85%), beverage production (estimated increase of 28.99%), metal production (estimated increase of 25.96%), production of electronic products, computers and optical products (estimated increase of 22.49%), and production of pharmaceuticals, chemicals and medicinal materials (estimated increase of 20.24%).
Overall, in the first four months of 2026, the province's industrial production index is estimated to have increased by 19.13% compared to the same period last year. Of this, the processing and manufacturing industry continues to play a leading role with an increase of approximately 19.25%. Electricity production and distribution are estimated to increase by 5.58%; water supply, waste management and wastewater treatment are estimated to increase by 28.94%.
