Yen Phong Industrial Park (IP) is one of the key industrial parks in Northern Vietnam, invested by Viglacera Corporation. This is also a place that attracts large FDI capital flows, especially from the world's leading technology corporations.
1. Geographical location
Yen Phong Industrial Park (IP) is located in Yen Phong district (old), Bac Ninh province, about 35km northeast of Hanoi city center, about 22km from Noi Bai international airport and about 110km from Hai Phong seaport.
Thanks to its location on key traffic routes such as National Highway 18, National Highway 3 and Noi Bai - Ha Long Expressway, the industrial park has a great advantage in logistics connectivity, shortening the time of transporting goods between key economic regions in the North as well as facilitating international trade.
2. Scale and infrastructure
Yen Phong Industrial Park was established under Document No. 303/TTg-CN dated February 20, 2006 of the Prime Minister, with a total area of about 658 hectares, including two phases:
+ Phase 1 has a scale of 351 hectares, construction started in February 2006 with a total registered investment capital of VND 989.70 billion;
+ Phase 2 has been approved for detailed construction planning with a scale of 314 hectares.
Synchronous technical infrastructure, internal traffic system is paved with concrete with 2-4 lanes, ensuring fast circulation of goods.
The power supply system is directly connected from the 110/22kV Yen Phong transformer station, ensuring continuous and stable power supply to factories.
Industrial clean water is supplied from Yen Phong water plant with a capacity of tens of thousands of m³/day and night.
Centralized wastewater treatment system with large capacity, meeting national environmental standards, along with high-speed telecommunications and internet network to meet modern production needs.
In addition, the industrial park also plans a worker housing area, a dormitory for foreign experts, a commercial and service area, a communal dining hall, a medical center and a sports and entertainment area to serve workers.
3. Industries attracting investment
Prioritize high-tech fields, electronics industry, semiconductors, smart devices, supporting industries for electronics - automobiles - precision mechanics.
Attract light industries, consumer goods manufacturing, textiles, food processing but with strict environmental control.
Limit industries with high risk of pollution, prioritize enterprises applying advanced technology, energy saving and environmental friendliness.
4. Typical enterprises
Samsung Electronics Group (Korea) is the largest investor, with the world's largest mobile phone manufacturing complex, creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers.
In addition, there are large FDI corporations and companies from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China and Europe such as Orion, Hansol Technics, Seojin, Dawo Vina... operating in the fields of electronic components, packaging, precision mechanics, and new material production.
