(BNP) - On the morning of April 14th, Foxconn Science and Technology Group held the opening ceremony of its Vietnam Head Office in Hanoi. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province.

Foxconn, officially known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., was established in 1974 in Taiwan. It is currently the world’s largest electronics manufacturing group in the fields of engineering and contract manufacturing services (EMS/ODM), employing over one million people and operating across more than 20 countries and territories.

The headquarters of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. (Hong Hai Vietnam) is located on the 16th floor of Taisei Square Building (289 Khuat Duy Tien Street, Dai Mo Ward, Hanoi), offering a strategic location with convenient transportation and strong regional connectivity. The office space is designed with a people-centric approach, incorporating modern technologies—most notably a smart meeting room system and advanced projection equipment—to enhance efficiency and collaboration.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Chau Nghia Van, General Director of Foxconn in Vietnam, emphasized that the establishment of the Head Office is a strategic step to improve operational efficiency and strengthen connections with regulatory agencies and partners. Vietnam is identified not only as a manufacturing hub but also as an important destination for innovation in the region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Pham Hoang Son affirmed that the event is of great significance, contributing to strengthening the confidence of the international business community in Vietnam's investment environment, and opening up a phase of deeper and more effective cooperation.

According to him, Bac Ninh is transitioning its growth model from extensive to intensive development, with a strong focus on productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness. At the same time, the province is proactively deepening its integration into global value chains and supply chains.

The province also prioritizes selective investment attraction, particularly targeting multinational corporations with advanced technologies and strong spillover effects, capable of leading and shaping the broader industrial ecosystem.

Evaluating Foxconn as a model investor, the comrade stated that from 2007 to the present, the Group has implemented 20 projects in Bac Ninh with a total capital of approximately USD 4 billion, creating jobs for about 130,000 workers. In addition to its economic contributions, Foxconn has also promoted technology transfer, trained human resources, and formed a high-tech electronics industrial ecosystem in the locality.

Bac Ninh is committed to continuously improving the investment environment, developing synchronous infrastructure, promoting digital transformation, enhancing the quality of human resources, and accompanying businesses with the motto "the success of businesses is the success of the locality", Son added.
