(BNP)- On the morning of July 16, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son worked with Mr. Farid Alakbarov, Vice Chairman of Sumgayit City, Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son thanked Mr. Farid Alakbarov for taking the time to visit Bac Ninh province during his working trip to attend the 3rd Session of the Vietnam - Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Committee on Economic, Trade, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Vietnam; Bac Ninh province and Sumgayit city had the opportunity to connect and exchange cooperation between the two localities.
Son said that Bac Ninh province plays a central and pivotal role in the socio-economic development of Vietnam's northeastern area. The province is striving to promote all potentials, advantages, and resources for the province's rapid, comprehensive, and long-term development.

Recently, the Prime Minister has approved the province to implement the Gia Binh International Airport project - one of the 5 largest airports in Vietnam, with international scale of "5-star" standards. At the same time, the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son and Kiep Bac relic and landscape complex has just been recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage. Bac Ninh is also a locality with a long history of mandarin examinations, and it is a land of studiousness in the whole country, Son added.

The Standing Vice Chairman hoped that the two sides would continue to exchange and connect businesses in the fields of chemicals, clean industry, renewable energy; promote educational exchange programs, train high-quality technical workers; introduce the cultural beauty of the two sides, etc.
