(BNP) - Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has just signed Decision No. 2229/QD-TTg approving the Strategy for the development of Vietnam's logistics services for the period 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2050.
The general objective of the Strategy is to develop Vietnam's logistics services sustainably, effectively, with high quality and added value, good competitiveness, and promote Vietnam's advantages in the global supply chain and value chain. Striving for an average annual growth rate of 12% - 15% for the logistics service industry
The strategy strives for a 5% - 7% increase in the value added of logistics services in the gross domestic product in the period 2025 - 2035. The average annual growth rate of the logistics service industry is 12% - 15%. The rate of enterprises outsourcing logistics services reaches 70% - 80%. Logistics costs compared to GDP are reduced by 12% - 15%; ranked according to the Logistics Performance Index (LPI - published by the World Bank) in the group of 40 leading countries and territories. The number of logistics service enterprises using digital transformation solutions reaches 80% of Vietnamese logistics enterprises.
Logistics services develop effectively in the direction of reducing emissions and converting to green energy sources. 70% of workers in the logistics service industry are trained in technical expertise, of which 30% have university degrees or higher. During this period, at least 05 modern logistics service centers of international standards will be built, playing the role of a hub connecting and developing with regional and international supply chains.
By 2050, build at least 10 modern logistics service centers of international standard
By 2050, the proportion of added value of logistics services in GDP will reach 7% - 9%. The average annual growth rate of the logistics service industry will reach 10% - 12%. The rate of enterprises outsourcing logistics services will reach 80% - 90%. Logistics costs compared to GDP will decrease to 10% - 12%. Ranking according to the Logistics Performance Index (LPI - published by the World Bank) in the group of 30 leading countries and territories.
The number of logistics service enterprises using digital transformation solutions will reach 100% of Vietnamese logistics enterprises. Logistics services continue to develop effectively in the direction of reducing emissions, contributing to bringing the country's net emissions to 0. 90% of workers in the logistics service industry are trained in technical expertise, of which 50% have university degrees or higher, and at least 10 modern logistics service centers of international standards have been built, playing the role of a hub for connecting and developing with regional and international supply chains.
The strategy sets out the following main solutions and tasks:
1- Perfecting legal institutions, strengthening state management and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of law enforcement for logistics services;
2- Promoting investment in construction, formation and development of synchronous and modern logistics infrastructure;
3- Promoting regional linkages in logistics service development;
4- Building goods sources, developing logistics markets;
5- Improving the competitiveness of logistics service enterprises and the quality of logistics services;
6- Promote research, innovation, digital transformation and green transformation in the logistics service sector;
7- Develop high-quality logistics human resources;
8- Enhance the role of associations and pioneering enterprises in the logistics service sector;
9- Other tasks.
