Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh attends handover of land area for APEC zone and radial road of Gia Binh Airport project

 (BNP) – On the morning of June 6, the People’s Committee of Luong Tai Commune organized a ceremony to hand over the site for the APEC area and the central arterial road within the Gia Binh International Airport Project, attended by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Thinh and representatives of relevant departments and agencies.

The Gia Binh International Airport Project in Luong Tai Commune requires the acquisition of more than 1,012 hectares of land, affecting 3,591 households and 7,917 graves. As of June 4, 2026, the locality had approved compensation, support, and resettlement plans covering nearly 469 hectares of land and completed the relocation of 2,287 graves.

For the APEC area and central arterial road in particular, the commune has completed compensation payments for 3.6 hectares of agricultural land belonging to 186 households and for the relocation of 844 graves. In addition, compensation, support, and resettlement arrangements have been completed for 79 households affected by 1.6 hectares of residential land, with 112 resettlement plots allocated. Representatives of Luong Tai Commune, Tu Ne Village, and the project investor signed a handover agreement transferring the entire cleared site for project implementation.

Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh acknowledged the efforts of local authorities, relevant agencies, and the cooperation of residents in the site clearance process. He requested continued efforts to strengthen public communication, safeguard the rights and temporary housing conditions of affected households, accelerate the construction of resettlement infrastructure, and promptly allocate land and provide support to help residents stabilize their lives, thereby ensuring the project progresses on schedule.
