(BNP) - The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued Decision No. 681/QD-UBND approving the investment policy and assigning the investor to implement the project to build a social housing area (Area No. 2) in Song Lieu ward with a scale of approximately 4.86 hectares.

The project, invested by Ha Bac Housing Development Joint Stock Company, is being implemented to concretize the plan to invest in building at least 1 million social housing units for low-income earners and industrial park workers in the period 2021-2030; and at the same time contribute to the implementation of the approved zoning plan for the urban area south of Duong River (Zone No. 3).

According to the plan, the project has a population of approximately 2,538 people and will include the construction of a residential area with a comprehensive technical infrastructure system, playgrounds, green spaces, and parking lots to meet the needs of residents.
Specifically, the social housing block will consist of one 20-story building (20 above-ground floors and one basement floor), providing approximately 994 apartments with a total floor area of approximately 89,431 m²; the low-rise terraced housing area will include 29 units, 4 stories high with a rooftop, and a total construction area of approximately 2,465 m². In addition, the project will allocate approximately 7,835 m² of land for green spaces, playgrounds, parking lots, and an internal transportation system, ensuring seamless connectivity with the surrounding infrastructure.
The total estimated investment for the project is over VND 1,300 billion. The project has an operating period of 50 years. The project is scheduled for completion within 48 months from the date of investment approval.
Upon completion, the project is expected to contribute to increasing the supply of social housing, improving living conditions for people, especially workers, laborers, and low-income earners. Simultaneously, it will promote urban development, improve infrastructure, and create momentum for socio-economic development in Bac Ninh province in the coming period.
