(BNP) - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh has recently signed and issued Plan No. 164/KH-UBND on organizing the conference to promote the consumption of lychees and key, characteristic agricultural products, and OCOP products of the province in 2026.
People in the early lychee growing area of Phuc Hoa commune are actively tending to crops in preparation for the harvest season.
The conference aims to strongly promote the Bac Ninh lychee brand and the province's key, characteristic, and OCOP products to businesses, distribution systems, e-commerce platforms, and domestic and foreign export partners. It seeks to strengthen trade connectivity, promote product consumption domestically and for export, especially to the Chinese market and other potential markets. The event also focuses on increasing the application of digital transformation in trade promotion, livestream sales, and promotion on digital platforms. Thereby, it contributes to promoting development, economic restructuring, and growth in the province's agricultural and rural sectors.
According to the plan, the conference is expected to take place on May 28, 2026, at the Provincial Convention Center (3/2 square, Bac Giang ward) in a hybrid format, combining in-person attendance with online streaming on digital platforms, livestreams, and social networks.
The conference is expected to have about 500 domestic and international delegates in attendance. Within the framework of the program, many activities will take place, such as launching a design contest for beautiful lychee gift packaging and models; the media content creation contest with the theme “Bac Ninh Lychee - Spreading the Sweetness” 2026; organizing a livestream session to promote the consumption of early lychees in Nam Duong commune; receiving the Chinese delegation; meetings between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises; and field trips to lychee production areas.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Industry and Trade as the lead agency for implementation, responsible for advising on the issuance of diplomatic notes and invitations to domestic and international delegates; monitoring and urging tasks; organizing the reception of delegations; and coordinating the implementation of side activities, lychee consumption promotion livestreams, designing models and gift packaging, and launching the media content creation contest about Bac Ninh lychees. At the same time, it is directed to carry out decorative, protocol, and logistical work, preparing promotional products and necessary conditions to serve the conference, ensuring thoughtfulness, solemnity, and efficiency.
The Office of the Provincial People's Committee will coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade to advise on the issuance of plans, diplomatic notes, and invitations; organize the implementation of activities before, during, and after the conference; and perform protocol and reception duties for Central and international delegates in accordance with prescribed rituals.
The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will lead the creation of a welcoming art program; organize a space to promote tourism associated with lychees and the province's characteristic agricultural products; build the Bac Ninh lychee brand identity kit; and complete a promotional song about the lychee fruit to serve the 2026 seasonal communication work.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for organizing the display and introduction area for products; selecting beautiful lychee gardens for communication and livestream activities; coordinating the inspection of compliance with export regulations in growing areas; and providing data to serve seasonal work.
The Provincial Police will develop plans to ensure security, social order, traffic safety, and fire prevention and fighting for the conference activities; and protect guest delegations throughout the duration of the event.
Press and media agencies will step up information and propaganda on press, television, and digital platforms to spread the image and brand of lychees and the province's OCOP products.
The Bac Ninh Power Company will ensure a stable and continuous power supply; and arrange forces on duty to promptly handle any arising incidents.
People's Committees of communes and wards with lychee growing areas and characteristic products will participate in arranging spaces to display and promote products; organize the shaping and decoration of lychee symbols imbued with local cultural identity; and simultaneously proactively allocate funding and coordinate implementation./.
