The results of socio-economic development tasks in the first quarter of 2026 record very positive signals as the province's GRDP was estimated to increase by 9.82%, ranking 5th nationwide. In particular, Bac Ninh province continues to affirm its position as the country's export leader with total turnover reaching 48.1 billion USD, ranking 1st in Vietnam. The attraction of the investment environment here is also evidenced by the figure of more than 5.2 billion USD in newly registered FDI capital in just the first months of the year. Accompanying this is a breakthrough in administrative reform as the province leads the country in the index of serving citizens and businesses in the electronic environment.

Entering the 2026 - 2030 period, the province sets a goal of maintaining an average GRDP growth rate of 11 - 12% per year. Specifically for the pivotal year 2026, the growth plan is expected to reach 12.5 - 13%. To achieve these figures, Bac Ninh province identifies focusing resources on 56 key projects and works, acting as strategic levers for infrastructure and the economy. Among them, regional transport linkage projects such as Ring Road 4, Ring Road 5, high-speed railway, and the Gia Binh International Airport project are prioritized for accelerated investment progress.

Parallel to completing infrastructure, the province also focuses on developing the business force with a goal of reaching 85,000 active enterprises by 2030. The private economic sector is oriented to become the main driving force, expected to contribute about 55 - 58% to the local total GRDP. To support the business community, the province commits to implementing superior mechanisms such as the 24h green lane and 60% green lane to optimize administrative procedures, while reserving at least 20 hectares of clean land in each industrial park to support small and medium-sized enterprises and innovative startup projects.

The province's investment attraction orientation continues to persist with the principle of 1 no, 2 lows, 3 highs: prioritizing high-tech projects such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), using low labor and land but bringing high added value and no environmental pollution. With a methodical strategy and high political determination, Bac Ninh is steadily walking on the journey of transforming its growth model, towards a smart, green, and sustainably developing urban area./.
