Bac Ninh delegation visits and extends 2026 New Year greetings to several international organizations and agencies in Hanoi

(BNP) - On January 22nd, a Bac Ninh delegation led by Mr. Le Huu Nam, Deputy Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office visited and extended 2026 New Year greetings to several international organizations and agencies in Hanoi.

* At the Chungcheongnam Provincial Office, the delegation was received by Mr. Jeong Keolki, Chief Representative of the Chungcheongnam Provincial Office.

The two sides discussed the cooperation between Bac Ninh and Chungcheongnam provinces. Mr. Le Huu Nam noted that in 2023, the two localities inked a friendship partnership agreement for the years 2020-2030. The province has established a strategy to implement the agreement from 2024 to 2025, with a focus on delegate exchanges, human resource training, and education and training cooperation, all of which contribute to the creation of a high-quality workforce to support the locality's socioeconomic development.

Nam expressed his hope that the Chungcheongnam Province Representative Office would continue to serve as a bridge to facilitate the smooth implementation of the contents of the signed agreement between the two localities. He emphasized the need to focus on supporting the introduction and promotion of Bac Ninh province's potential advantages and investment attraction policies. At the same time, he stressed the importance of expanding cultural, sports, and tourism exchanges to further strengthen and develop the friendly cooperative relationship between Chungcheongnam Province and Bac Ninh Province in this new phase of development.

Mr. Jeong Keolki expressed his gratitude for the affection and attention of the leaders of Bac Ninh province and highly appreciated the province’s socio-economic development in 2025. In the coming time, the Chungcheongnam Provincial Representative Office will strengthen business connections between the two provinces, support trade promotion activities, and enhance cooperation in the fields of human resource training, culture, tourism, and sports according to the signed agreement.

* At the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) office, the delegation was received by Mr. Ohi Toshiaki, Chief Advisor of the Japan Volunteer Dispatch Program.

At the meeting, Mr. Nam briefed on the cooperation between Bac Ninh province and Japanese partners in the past period. Besides attracting investment projects from Japanese businesses, the Japanese government has so far implemented four ODA projects in the province through JICA, with a total support of approximately USD13.5 billion. These include: the Doi Ngo town water supply system; the renovation and upgrading of the main road in Dong Hung commune (formerly Luc Nam district); the renovation and upgrading of the Mo Trang to Bo Ha road (formerly Yen The district); and the development of the Provincial General Hospital, phase II. In addition, JICA has also funded the province's implementation of a project to develop traditional pottery making in Phu Lang commune and has received several JICA volunteers to support Japanese language teaching, tourism, investment promotion, and healthcare.

Nam expressed his hope that in 2026, JICA would continue to provide more Japanese-speaking volunteers for Bac Giang High School for the Gifted; organize Vietnamese-Japanese cultural exchange activities; and introduce and promote the potential advantages and investment attraction policies in the economic, trade, tourism, and service sectors of Bac Ninh province to Japanese partners.

Mr. Ohi Toshiaki expressed his gratitude for the attention and support from the leaders and departments of Bac Ninh province over the past period, which has facilitated the effective implementation of JICA's projects in the province. He affirmed that he will continue to fully support the projects and assistance programs of the Japanese Government for Bac Ninh province.

* At the KFHI Office in South Korea, the delegation was welcomed by Mr. Park Sun Jong, Chief Representative of KFHI in Vietnam.

During the meeting, Deputy Chief Le Huu Nam provided an overview of the province's potential, strengths, and outstanding achievements in socio-economic development in 2025. He also emphasized that, in recent years, the KFHI organization has implemented infrastructure support projects at several schools in the province, most notably the "Samsung Hope School" project.

KFHI's projects are considered effective, practical, and relevant to local needs, helping to improve living and learning conditions for disadvantaged and poor students in the district, thereby contributing to the development of local education.

In the exchange, Mr. Park Sun Jong stated that the KFHI office in Vietnam is responsible for supporting community development, vocational training, and child protection. Therefore, in the coming time, the KFHI organization will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies and localities of the province to implement the "Samsung Hope School" project and the "Vietnam-Korea Cooperation Center" project; and support the province in implementing social welfare projects suitable to the locality and the organization's objectives and principles.

Also on January 22nd, the delegation visited and extended New Year greetings for 2026 to officials of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office and several other foreign organizations. At each location, on behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Le Huu Nam and the delegation extended 2026 New Year greetings, wishing "peace, health, and prosperity," and presented flowers and gifts to the organizations.
