The project includes the renovation and upgrading of the section of PR.291B from Km22+000 to Km26+500, approximately 4.5km long. The project involves constructing seven bridges and culverts to replace existing structures on the section from Km5+100 to Km19+750. Simultaneously, a new road connecting National Highway 31 (Km51+650 - National Highway 31 route) to PR.291B (Km9+900 – PR.291B route) will be built, with a length of approximately 5.78 km. The total construction area is approximately 35.83 hectares.
The PR.291B section will be constructed to mountainous road standards (Class III), with a 9m wide roadbed, 7m wide road surface, and 2m wide shoulders. The branch line will be constructed to flatland road standards (Class III), with a 12m wide roadbed, 7m wide road surface, and 5m wide shoulders. On the branch line, two bridges will be constructed, including a bridge at Km0+280 with an estimated length of 63m and a bridge over the Luc Nam River at Km4+630 with an estimated length of 206m, along with other necessary infrastructure items such as roadbeds, surfaces, drainage, lighting, traffic safety, and other technical works.

The investment scope includes the renovation and upgrading of Provincial Road 297 from Km2+000 to Km8+000, approximately 6km long; and the construction of a new branch line from the intersection with PR.295 to PR.296C, approximately 1.32km long. Simultaneously, a new section of Provincial Road 296C will be constructed from National Highway 37 at Km87+500 to the point of connection with the branch line, spanning 2.52 km. The total construction area is approximately 11 hectares.
According to the approved plan, the PR. 297 section will be invested in as a Class III mountain road, with a 9m wide roadbed, 7m wide road surface, and 2m wide shoulders. The branch line and PR. 296C will be invested in as a Class III flat road, with a 12m wide roadbed, 7m wide road surface, and 5m wide shoulders, along with the simultaneous construction of bridges, culverts, drainage systems, and traffic safety measures.
Regarding the Project to renovate and upgrade PR.291C (section from Km20+500 to National Highway 31); The branch line from Dong Muong to Dong Cao and the line from the center of Giao Liem commune (formerly) to Suoi Hau have a total investment of VND 806.852 billion, implemented in Dai Son and Van Son communes.
The project includes the renovation and upgrading of the PR.291C section from Km20+500 to Km29+800, 9.3km long; the construction of branch line 1 from Km9+000 to Km20+500 of PR.291C, approximately 10km long; and branch line 2 from the Suoi Hau intersection connecting to the existing section of the road renovation and upgrading project leading to the center of Giao Liem commune, approximately 3.8km long. The total length of the routes is approximately 23.1km, with a construction area of approximately 30.32 hectares.
The routes are being developed to the scale of a Class IV mountain road, with a roadbed width of 7.5m, a road surface width of 5.5m, and a shoulder width of 2m. On branch route 1, three bridges will be constructed: the Goc Xoan bridge (53m long), the Suoi Hao bridge (92m long), and the Suoi Cau bridge (44m long), along with other necessary infrastructure including roadbeds, surfaces, drainage, traffic safety, and other technical works.
All three projects belong to Group B and utilize provincial budget funds. The expected implementation period is 2027-2030.
The implementation of these three projects aims to gradually complete the transportation infrastructure system in accordance with the provincial planning and related plans; strengthen connectivity between provincial roads, national highways, and local road systems; and enhance transportation capacity, facilitating travel for the people and the flow of goods.
In particular, the completed projects will contribute to strengthening linkages between localities, effectively exploiting the production potential and advantages of mountainous areas; creating favorable conditions for the consumption of local products, promoting socio-economic development, improving people's lives and enhancing cultural exchange. In addition, they will help reduce the risk of traffic disruption during the rainy season and floods, improve disaster prevention and control capabilities, and harmoniously combine economic development with national defense, security, environmental protection, and maintaining social order and safety.
