The UPU International Letter Writing Competition is an annual event organized by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and implemented in many countries around the world. Vietnam is one of the countries that actively participates and achieves many outstanding results. Through the competition, students not only hone their writing skills and ability to express their thoughts and feelings, but also have the opportunity to express their views and responsibilities on global issues in the digital age.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Deputy Director Duong Dai Lam affirmed that the UPU International Letter Writing Competition is a global-scale event, held annually in Vietnam for nearly 40 years, with practical significance in fostering creative thinking, writing skills, and nurturing humanistic values for the younger generation.
To ensure the competition spreads widely and achieves practical results, the comrade suggested that the Department of Education and Training, localities, and schools strengthen propaganda and integrate the competition's content into educational and experiential activities; create favorable conditions for students to participate voluntarily, creatively, and without pressure for achievement. The Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union and other youth organizations should play a guiding role, fostering a sense of social responsibility, sharing, and community connection among young people. The Provincial Post Office should continue to closely coordinate with schools in guiding, receiving, and delivering competition entries according to the rules and within the specified time; and the provincial press agencies should promote and support the competition.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 7 collectives and 7 individuals who achieved success in the 54th UPU International Letter Writing Competition 2025. Among them, Bac Ninh province had 7 students winning prizes, including 1 Second Prize, 5 Consolation Prizes, and 1 Promising Writer Award; and also presented gifts to Hoang Van Thu Secondary School.
