Bac Ninh organizes 29th Provincial Youth Informatics Competition

(BNP) - Implementing the Youth Union's work program and youth movement in 2026, the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Science and Technology, has issued a plan to organize the 29th Provincial Youth Informatics Competition and participate in the 32nd National Youth Informatics Competition in 2026.

The plan aims to concretize and effectively implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; and the Action Program of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW. The competition is organized to create a creative environment for young people, discover and nurture information technology talents, enhance digital skills, and encourage students to apply their knowledge and skills to develop ideas and products with practical applications; thereby contributing to improving the quality of young human resources, labor productivity, and national competitiveness in the new era. It aims to create a widespread movement of learning information technology among young people; thus contributing to the acceleration of industrialization and modernization, and building Bac Ninh province into a sustainably developed, civilized, and modern province.

Eligible participants include students currently studying at primary, secondary, and high schools, multi-level schools with high school levels, ethnic boarding schools, vocational training centers, continuing education centers, continuing education centers, vocational training centers, students studying in the high school level at colleges and vocational schools, or Vietnamese citizens of equivalent age from primary to high school in Bac Ninh province.

The competition is divided into several categories: Category A: Programming skills competition for primary school students (individual); Category B: Programming skills competition for secondary school students (individual); Category C1: Programming skills competition for specialized high school students (team competition, each team with a maximum of 2 members); Category C2: Programming skills competition for non-specialized high school students (individual); Category D1: Creative product competition on a given theme for primary school students (team competition, each team with a maximum of 2 members, may have a teacher's guidance); Category D2: Creative product competition for secondary school students (team competition, each team with a maximum of 2 members, may have a teacher's guidance); Category D3: Creative product competition for high school students (team competition, each team with a maximum of 2 members, may have a teacher's guidance); Category M1: Mathematical thinking and algorithmic thinking competition for primary school students (individual). Table M2 is a mathematics and algorithmic thinking competition for junior high school students (individual competition).

According to the plan, the qualifying rounds and selection of representatives for each school will be completed before April 13, 2026; and registration documents for the provincial competition will be submitted before April 14, 2026.

The final round is expected to be held centrally over two days, approximately from April 20-25, 2025 (the specific dates will be announced later by the organizing committee).
