(BNP) - In the first six months of 2026, the implementation of unemployment insurance policies in Bac Ninh province was carried out synchronously and in accordance with regulations, contributing to ensuring social security, supporting workers in stabilizing their lives and returning to the labor market as soon as possible.
In the first six months of the year, the Provincial Employment Service Center receives 10,612 applications for unemployment benefits.
According to the report of the Department of Internal Affairs, the province currently has 30,172 businesses, agencies, and organizations, of which 30,058 units are eligible to participate in unemployment insurance, and 100% of these units have participated in unemployment insurance. The province has over 1 million people with labor contracts and employment contracts; of which 959,722 are currently participating in unemployment insurance.
In the first six months of the year, the Provincial Employment Service Center received 10,612 applications for unemployment benefits; 9,464 people were granted benefits, 66 cases were ineligible, and 162 cases had their benefit decisions revoked. In addition, 821 people temporarily suspended their benefits, 418 continued to receive them, and 1,161 people terminated their unemployment benefits as per regulations.
Along with processing unemployment benefits, the work of counseling and supporting workers was emphasized. During the period, 11,444 people received job counseling and placement services; 31 people receiving unemployment benefits received support for training and skill development. The total expenditure on unemployment benefits reached over VND 277.67 billion, of which more than VND 142 million was used to support training and skill development for workers.
