(BNP) - On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2026), on the morning of July 20, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Viet Oanh visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers in Hoang Van commune.

The delegation visited Mr. Tran Van Tuong, born in 1950 and residing in An Cap Village, a wounded soldier with an 81% disability rate. During the war, he lost one arm and an eye. Despite sustaining serious injuries, upon returning to civilian life, he and his family overcame numerous hardships, raised their children, and consistently set an example by adhering to the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, and local regulations.

Inquiring about Mr. Tran Van Tuong's health, living conditions, and daily life, the Chairman expressed his deep respect and gratitude for his sacrifices and contributions to the cause of national liberation, building and protecting the Fatherland.
Presenting gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Chairman wished Mr. Tran Van Tuong and his family continued good health, and encouraged them to continue upholding the revolutionary tradition, serving as a source of spiritual support and a shining example for their descendants to follow.

Next, the delegation visited Mr. Ta Van Khanh, born in 1957, residing in Van Xuyen village, a war invalid with a 61% disability rating. Despite the impact of war on his health, Mr. Khanh and his family members have always strived to improve their lives, setting an example in implementing the Party and State's policies and actively participating in local movements.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, Chairman Nguyen Viet Oanh cordially inquired about Mr. Ta Van Khanh's health, living conditions, and overall well-being. He affirmed that the Party Committee, government, and people of the province always cherish and remember the contributions of the heroic martyrs, war invalids, and those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution.
He expressed his hope that the war invalids would continue to maintain their health, uphold the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," and encourage their children and grandchildren to unite, study diligently, work hard, and contribute to building a more prosperous and civilized homeland.
The Chairman requested that the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Hoang Van commune continue to fully and promptly implement policies and regulations for people with meritorious services; regularly be close to and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of policy beneficiary families who are still facing difficulties, ensuring that people with meritorious services and their relatives are cared for better and better both materially and spiritually.
