(BNP) - The Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee recently signed Plan No. 169/KH-UBND on the implementation of gender equality and the advancement of women in Bac Ninh province in 2026.

Accordingly, agencies, units, and localities will promote the implementation of legal regulations on gender equality; strengthen the integration of gender issues in the development of legal documents, socio-economic development plans, and annual budget allocations. A comprehensive review and assessment of gender impact in policy-making processes is required, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
In addition, the province will focus on consolidating the Committees for the Advancement of Women at all levels; review and assign personnel working on gender equality to ensure stability and prevent interruptions to their duties. Training and professional development activities will be organized regularly, focusing on skills in integrating gender into policy-making, collecting and analyzing gender-based statistics, and preventing and responding to gender-based violence.
Information and communication efforts will continue to be strengthened through diverse forms tailored to different target groups. Communication content will focus on existing issues such as the disproportionately low rate of female participation in leadership and management; gender bias in career choices; gender-based violence; gender imbalance at birth; and outdated customs and practices affecting the rights of women and girls.
The application of digital technology and social media in communication will be enhanced to improve the effectiveness of reaching the public, especially in rural and disadvantaged areas. Inspection, monitoring, and supervision of the implementation of policies and laws on gender equality will be strengthened. Improve the efficiency of receiving feedback, suggestions, and complaints from citizens and strictly handle violations according to regulations.
In 2026, Bac Ninh will continue to implement the National Strategy on Gender Equality for the period 2021-2030; focusing on planning, training, fostering, and appointing female cadres; promoting policies to support female workers, especially rural women, women in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; strengthening solutions to reduce the adolescent birth rate and reduce gender imbalance at birth.
Effectively implement key programs and projects such as: the Communication Program on Gender Equality until 2030; the Program on Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence for the period 2026-2030; and the Program to strengthen the equal participation of women in leadership and management positions at all levels of policy making. Integrating gender equality content into the construction of new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous regions.
The Department of Internal Affairs is the lead agency responsible for guiding, supervising, and compiling the results of implementation throughout the province; it will also coordinate the implementation of communication activities, inspections, exchanges, experience sharing, and organize the Month of Action for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in 2026.
