(BNP) - On August 9, a delegation of Bac Ninh province led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi visited and presented gifts to people affected by natural disasters in Son La province.

Receiving and working with the delegation of Bac Ninh province were Standing Vice Chairwoman of Son La Provincial People's Committee Trang Thi Xuan and leaders of a number of agencies and units.
On July 26, 27, 31 and August 1, Son La province suffered consecutive historic heavy rains, causing serious flooding, flash floods and landslides in many localities. Total damage was estimated at nearly VND 850 billion.

He hoped that the Party Committee and the government of Son La province would continue to pay attention to and take care of the lives of people affected by floods; support the livelihoods of affected households to stabilize their lives and production; strengthen the direction of localities to monitor unusual weather developments and deploy prevention plans; focus on ensuring environmental sanitation and preventing epidemics for people in flooded areas; promote propaganda work and raise people's awareness in preventing and combating natural disasters and floods, etc.

On behalf of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, the Vice Chairman presented VND 3 billion in cash, 50 clean water tanks worth VND 75 million, 10 hot water tanks worth VND 52 million to Son La province.
