(BNP) - On the morning of August 9, the Hoang Ninh Group Joint Stock Company held the groundbreaking ceremony of the Hoang Ninh Ecolife social housing project in Nenh ward, Bac Ninh province. Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Gau; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan; leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities.

The project was approved for investment by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 270/QD-UBND on March 17, 2022, with Hoang Ninh Group Joint Stock Company as the investor. The project has a total construction area of 2.65 hectares, which includes the construction of two 18-story social housing buildings, one 18-story commercial building, and one basement, with 670 social housing apartments and approximately 200 commercial housing apartments, meeting the housing needs of about 2,944 people. In addition, the project also has auxiliary works such as: 2 4-storey parking garages, schools, flower gardens, trees, walking paths, lawns... The total investment of the project is more than 696 billion VND, expected to be completed in December 2026.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan briefed on an overview of the province's recent socio-economic progress and social housing construction efforts. In recent years, Bac Ninh has been one of the provinces with the fastest industrial and urban growth in the country, attracting hundreds of thousands of workers from within and outside the province, putting a strain on social infrastructure, particularly the need for housing for workers and low-income people.

In the past time, the province has closely directed and created maximum conditions for enterprises to implement social housing projects. Up to now, the whole province has been implementing 71 social housing projects with an area of 255 hectares, when completed, it will meet more than 9.12 million square meters of floor space with more than 102 thousand apartments, equivalent to 400 thousand people living in social housing projects; In the first 6 months of the year, the whole province completed more than 8 thousand apartments, completing 51% of the plan assigned by the Government in 2025, Tuan added.

The launch of the Hoang Ninh Ecolife social housing project is significant not only because it meets the government's target, but also because it provides nearly 700 social housing apartments at reasonable prices, assisting thousands of low-income people in stabilizing their lives and settling down.

In order for the project to be completed soon and become a typical project in terms of progress and quality, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the province, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan requested the investor to focus on human resources, material resources and means to construct the project with quality, safety, and aesthetics; speed up the progress, strive to complete the project on September 2, 2026 and put it into operation in October 2026.

The Social Policy Bank coordinates with units to create the most favorable conditions for people to access credit in the process of buying a house and paying in installments. Trade unions, the Fatherland Front and other organizations are interested in disseminating and informing about social housing projects so that people who are eligible to buy houses can easily access the project.
