(BNP) - On behalf of the Politburo, Politburo member and Standing Committee Secretary Tran Cam Tu has just signed Conclusion No. 52-KL/TW of the Politburo on the policy of establishing Bac Ninh City directly under the Central Government based on the administrative boundaries of Bac Ninh province.

The Conclusion states: Considering the Submission No. 15-TTr/TU, dated May 19, 2026, from the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee requesting approval for the establishment of Bac Ninh City directly under the Central Government based on the administrative boundaries of Bac Ninh province, the Politburo unanimously agrees on the policy of establishing Bac Ninh City based on the administrative boundaries of Bac Ninh province.
The focus is on developing Bac Ninh City into a model of a green, smart, modern, civilized, prosperous, and beautiful city, deeply rooted in the Kinh Bac cultural identity. Economic development is linked to environmental protection, with science, technology, and innovation as the main drivers of growth. Developing modern, high-tech industries, deeply participating in global supply chains; forming an electronics industrial center, focusing on semiconductor manufacturing, microchip production, and artificial intelligence, leading the country and the region.
Completing the synchronized development of road, waterway, rail, and air transport infrastructure and smart cities, connecting major urban centers with logistics and multimodal service infrastructure; developing harmoniously and balancedly among localities within the city. Building a streamlined, professional, modern, honest, disciplined, and efficient urban government that fosters development; ensuring strong national defense, security, order, and social safety. Developing all aspects of culture and society, improving the quality of life for the people, so that they can enjoy the fruits of development.
The Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee is tasked with coordinating with the National Assembly Party Committee, the Government Party Committee, and other agencies to incorporate the Politburo's opinions and reasonable suggestions from relevant agencies to supplement and finalize the proposal for submission to the Central Committee of the Party. Simultaneously, they are to urgently complete any missing content and finalize the dossier for recognition as a Type I urban area, submitting it to the Central Committee for consideration and decision (if the dossier is complete, it will be submitted to the 3rd Central Committee Conference).
