Provincial leaders lit candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at Martyrs Cemetery in Kinh Bac-Vu Ninh area and Tho Xuong Martyrs Cemetery

(BNP) – On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2025), the Provincial Youth Union organized a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs in 2025 at the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Kinh Bac - Vu Ninh area and Tho Xuong Martyrs’ Cemetery (Bac Giang ward) on the evening of July 26.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huong Giang; Secretary of the Kinh Bac Ward Party Committee Ta Dang Doan and Secretary of the Vu Ninh Ward Party Committee Nguyen Hoang Long offer incense to the martyrs' graves at the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Kinh Bac - Vu Ninh area.

During the resistance wars, Bac Ninh had 285,000 people who contributed to the revolution; including over 37,000 martyrs; nearly 3,000 heroic Vietnamese mothers; 34 heroes of the people's armed forces; more than 26,000 wounded and sick soldiers...

At the Martyrs' Cemeteries, provincial leaders, relatives of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, people with meritorious services to the revolution, armed forces and a large number of youth union members, students, and people from all walks of life respectfully offered flowers, incense, and candles to each grave of the heroic martyrs.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union presented 40 medicine packages to meritorious people in the wards of Bac Giang, Kinh Bac and Vu Ninh; coordinated with units to implement the project "Lighting up the red address", equipping solar energy lighting systems at 148 Martyrs' Cemeteries in the province, with a total value of more than 3 billion VND; presented the project "Lighting up the red address" as a solar energy lighting system to the two Martyrs' Cemeteries of Dinh Tri and Hoang Van Thu and 100 gifts of nutritional supplements for meritorious people. At the same time, the unit presented a companionship sign to enterprises inside and outside the province that have cared, accompanied, supported and sent 1,000 gifts (including 10 tons of rice, nutritional supplements and necessities), each worth VND 850,000 to policy beneficiaries and meritorious people in difficult circumstances in 99 communes and wards across the province.
