The Nguyen Van Cu Memorial Area was built on a plot of land nearly 5,000 square meters belonging to the Nguyen Van Cu family in Phu Khe Ward and was renovated and inaugurated in 2012, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth (1912 - 2012).
In front of the Memorial Area is a crescent-shaped lake lined with green stone and Nguyen Van Cu Park, creating a cool and airy environment for the site.
The memorial house includes the following main items: a monument; an exhibition house showcasing the life and revolutionary career; The complex includes the original memorial house; guesthouse; and meeting hall. A bronze statue of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu, over 4 meters tall and weighing nearly 5 tons, was erected. The project was inaugurated in 2012.
The original memorial house of the General Secretary's family consists of five sections, 10 meters long and 4 meters wide, constructed entirely of soaked bamboo, thatched with straw and palm leaves. It houses the family of Nguyen Van Cu.
Many family heirlooms of Comrade Nguyen Van Cu are preserved here.

This area displays many valuable documents and artifacts about his life, career, and unwavering revolutionary activities.
In February 1931, while on a mission from Cam Pha to Hon Gai, Comrade Nguyen Van Cu was arrested by French secret police, sentenced to five years of hard labor, and exiled to Con Dao Island – known as "hell on earth." He transformed the colonial prison into a revolutionary school.
In 1938, at the young age of 26, Comrade Nguyen Van Cu was elected General Secretary. In July 1939, he wrote "Self-Criticism," a work of self-criticism within the Party that remains relevant today, serving as a shining example for generations of Party members.
The memorial complex includes a guesthouse and a meeting hall.
The Nguyen Van Cu Memorial Complex was recognized as a National Monument in 1988 and is one of the province's prominent tourist attractions.
This is a place where younger generations can learn more about a glorious period of history, and learn more about a steadfast communist soldier who dedicated his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the Party, for the country and the people.
