The 2026 Bac Ninh Robocon Competition marked the third season organized by the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations in collaboration with relevant departments and businesses. The event aimed to create an environment where students could showcase their ideas, creativity, and passion for technology, while spreading the spirit of innovation across schools. Simultaneously, it provided students with opportunities to practice and enhance skills in programming, mechanics, electronics, logical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and match tactics—thereby identifying and nurturing future engineers and scientists to serve the development of the province and the country.

Launched in October 2025, the 2026 competition attracted 879 registered teams, with 602 teams qualifying for the preliminary rounds. The tournament was organized with a focus on comprehensive digital transformation, from management and operations to professional execution and communications. The Organizing Committee implemented a structured training program combining in-person and online sessions to equip students with knowledge in robot assembly and programming, competition rules, technical support, and expert guidance. Learning kits and competition field layouts were also provided to ensure teams were fully prepared in terms of both skills and mindset.

Notably, teams competed directly with physical robots on the field. The Organizing Committee introduced "surprise rules" to comprehensively evaluate the adaptability of the participants. Despite the increased professional difficulty, 30% of the teams completed all tasks, demonstrating significant progress in thinking, skills, and mastery of technology.

In the Final Round, the 72 most outstanding teams competed in three divisions based on age groups (from 9 to 18 years old). The format was centralized and direct, featuring physical robots on competition fields. Content included assembly, programming, and robot calibration; group stage matches, knockouts, and finals; and handling real-world scenarios and unexpected tasks announced by the Committee. Through 144 matches, teams demonstrated logical thinking, teamwork, and tactical optimization.

In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded 3 First Prizes, 6 Second Prizes, 9 Third Prizes, and 30 Consolation Prizes across the three divisions. First Prize winners received a Gold Medal and a reward of 12 million VND. Additionally, 7 sub-prizes were awarded to recognize teams with creative ideas, impressive sportsmanship, and efforts to overcome difficulties.
