(BNP) - On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 2026), on the afternoon of July 16, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thai visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and outstanding families of people with meritorious services to the revolution in Hop Thinh commune and Da Mai ward.

In Hop Thinh commune, Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dinh Thi Sung (born in 1942). Her husband, Nguyen Van Nghi, was a martyr, and her son, Nguyen Van Quyet, was also a martyr. She is elderly and is currently being cared for and supported by her only remaining son's family.
Next, the Secretary visited outstanding families of people with meritorious services to the revolution in Da Mai ward, including Mr. Nguyen Van Co and Mrs. Le Thi Tinh - parents of martyr Nguyen Van Ban; and Mr. Tong Van Hanh, a disabled veteran of category 3/4. These are all families who have made many contributions and sacrifices to the cause of national liberation, always setting a good example in complying with the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and actively participating in local movements.

During the visits, Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai extended his warm regards to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of martyrs, wounded soldiers and people with meritorious services to the revolution. He expressed profound gratitude for their sacrifices and contributions to the nation's independence and freedom.
He reaffirmed that caring for people with meritorious services to the revolution is a consistent policy and a moral responsibility shared by the Party, the State and society as a whole. He called on local authorities to continue effectively implementing preferential policies while paying greater attention to improving the living conditions of policy beneficiary families.

On the occasion, the Secretary presented each family with VND 2 million in cash and a gift as a token of gratitude from the Party organization, authorities and people of Bac Ninh province for their contributions to the revolutionary cause.
