(BNP) - On May 8th, at the Kinh Bac Cultural Center, the Customs Sub-department of Region V organized the 2026 Business Conference (first session) on customs management for processing, export production, and manufacturing activities. The conference was connected online with businesses managed by the Customs Sub-department of Region V.
Delegates witness the signing of Memorandums of Understanding with 3 businesses selected to participate in the program to encourage businesses to voluntarily comply with customs laws.
At the event, the Customs Sub-Department of Region V, in coordination with the Customs Supervision and Management Board (Customs Department), directly introduced to businesses the new points of Government Decree 167/2025/ND-CP dated June 30, 2025, amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 08/2015/ND-CP dated January 21, 2015, detailing and implementing measures of the Customs Law on customs procedures, inspection, supervision, and control; and Circular 121/2025/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Circulars regulating customs procedures, customs inspection and supervision, export tax, import tax, and tax management for exported and imported goods.

Representatives from the Customs Supervision and Management Board and the Customs Sub-department of Region V directly addressed the concerns and questions of the business community and associations regarding processing, export production, and export processing zones.
At the conference, the Customs Supervision and Management Board also introduced and solicited feedback from businesses and associations on the proposed new management methods for goods processed for export and export production, and export processing enterprises, within the new customs procedures.

Also within the framework of the program, the Customs Sub-department of Region V signed a Memorandum of Understanding with three selected businesses participating in the program to encourage voluntary compliance with customs laws: Ha Thanh Fashion Joint Stock Company, RQ Technology Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd., and LECHENWOOD Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Currently, within the jurisdiction of Customs Sub-Department Region 5, 23 businesses are participating in the program encouraging voluntary compliance with customs laws. This is one of the prerequisites for Customs Sub-Department Region 5 to continue standardizing administrative procedures and commit to facilitating trade, moving towards the implementation of digital and smart customs.

Through the activities at the 2026 Customs-Business Conference, Customs Sub-Department Region 5 and the Customs Management and Supervision Board promptly addressed the difficulties and obstacles faced by participating businesses, while also providing useful information and warnings to the business community and further strengthening the relationship between customs and businesses.
