(BNP) - Before the opening session of the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2026-2031, on the morning of June 24th, delegates attending the Congress participated in a ceremony to report their achievements to President Ho Chi Minh, visited the mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, and offered incense at the Bac Son Martyrs' Memorial (Hanoi).

Attending the program were: Comrade Bui Quang Huy, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Permanent Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association; Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union; Major General Pham Van Hieu - Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command. Nearly 790 delegates representing over 21.6 million Vietnamese youth union members and young people both domestically and abroad attended the Congress.

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates respectfully laid flowers and observed a moment of silence to commemorate the immense contributions of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. The fresh flowers placed before the memorial symbolized the profound gratitude of today's young generation to their predecessors.
Following this, the delegation participated in the ceremony to report their achievements and visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. In this sacred and moving setting, the delegates listened to President Ho Chi Minh's advice to Vietnamese youth – teachings that remain invaluable and serve as a guiding principle for young generations in their studies, work, contributions, and personal growth.

The 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union took place over two days, June 24-25, in Hanoi. The Congress was held under the spirit of action: “Self-reliance and resilience – Pioneering creativity – Aspiration for contribution – Mastering the future”.
The Congress was tasked with summarizing and evaluating the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement during the 2022-2026 term; determining the goals, tasks, and solutions for the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement during the 2026-2031 term; amending and supplementing the Charter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; and electing the 13th Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
