(BNP) - On the afternoon of May 24th, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor organized the opening ceremony of the Second Bac Ninh Provincial Workers' Football Tournament, 2026, at the Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry Football Field.
The leaders presents flags to the teams participating in the tournament.
The tournament is organized to celebrate the success of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in response to the 2026 Workers' Month, and to welcome the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
This year's tournament attracted 130 men's and women's teams from 104 enterprise-level trade unions throughout the province, including 102 men's teams and 28 women's teams. Teams will compete in qualifying rounds in groups, selecting 16 outstanding teams for the Finals, expected to take place in mid-July 2026.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee will award first, second, third, and fourth prizes, along with many supplementary prizes such as: Fair Play Award, Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer, Miss and Runner-up.
The tournament aims to create a healthy sporting environment, strengthen interaction and solidarity among union members and workers; and at the same time contribute to the development of the sports movement and demonstrate the Trade Union's concern for the spiritual life of workers.
