Vice Chairman Ngo Tan Phuong chairs meeting to discuss investment plans for Noi Bai - Bac Ninh - Chi Linh Expressway Project

(BNP) - On the afternoon of May 21st, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Tan Phuong worked with the Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation (VEC) on the investment plan for the Noi Bai - Bac Ninh - Chi Linh Expressway Project.

According to the proposal, the expressway will have a total length of approximately 68 km, connecting from the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway to Ring Road 5, passing through Hanoi, Bac Ninh, and Hai Phong. The section through Bac Ninh province will be approximately 48.75 km long. The project is proposed to be invested under the PPP method with a scale of 6 lanes, and the total estimated investment is over VND 30,000 billion.

During the meeting, departments, agencies, and localities focused on discussing the investment scope, interchange layout, land clearance, traffic organization, and the project's impact on the province's socio-economic development.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Ngo Tan Phuong basically agreed with the proposal to study the investment project; emphasizing that this is a strategically important transportation project, contributing to strengthening regional connectivity and expanding the development space for industry, urban areas, and logistics.

He requested the investor and consulting unit to continue reviewing and refining the investment plan to ensure it is comprehensive, scientific, and effective; to study a reasonable toll collection plan, access roads, pedestrian underpasses, and connections with industrial zones and clusters. He also requested close coordination with the local authorities in compensation and land clearance work, ensuring the rights of the people and facilitating project implementation.
