(BNP) - According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, all 6/6 students of the Vietnamese team participating in the 2025 International Mathematics Olympiad won medals, including 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze Medals. Of which, Bac Ninh province had 1 student winning a Bronze Medal.

That is Truong Thanh Xuan, an 11th-grade student from Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, Bac Ninh province. She is the only female member of the Vietnamese team competing in the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad. Previously, she won second prize in Mathematics at the National Excellent Student Competition for the 2024-2025 school year.
The 66th International Mathematical Olympiad 2025 took place from July 10 to 20, 2025 in Australia with the participation of more than 639 contestants representing 113 countries and territories.
The Vietnamese team had 6/6 students competing and winning medals, including: 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze Medals.
Among which, the Gold Medals were awarded to Vo Trong Khai (grade 12) of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An province; Tran Minh Hoang (grade 12) of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted, Ha Tinh province.

Silver medalists include: Nguyen Dang Dung (grade 12) and Nguyen Dinh Tung (grade 11), both students of the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Le Phan Duc Man (grade 12) of Le Hong Phong High School for Gifted Students, Ho Chi Minh City.
With a total score of 188, the Vietnamese delegation ranked 9th out of 113 countries and territories participating in this year's competition, behind the delegations of China (1), the US (2), South Korea (3), Poland and Japan (4), Israel (6), India (7), Singapore (8).
