Kinh Bac Ward launches campaign responding to movement “Joining hands to protect environment for green, clean and beautiful Vietnam

(BNP) – On the morning of June 5, at Bac Ninh Museum No. 2, the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Kinh Bac ward launched a campaign in response to the emulation movement “Joining hands to protect the environment for a green, clean and beautiful Vietnam.”

The event was attended by provincial leaders, including Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of departments, agencies, mass organizations, Kinh Bac Ward authorities, and a large number of officials, youth union members, students, and local residents.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hieu, Chairman of the Kinh Bac Ward People’s Committee, said that the locality generates approximately 80 tonnes of household waste each day and continues to face challenges related to environmental infrastructure, funding, and public awareness of environmental protection.

He called on officials, Party members, residents, agencies, and businesses to take practical actions to protect the environment, including refraining from littering, reducing the use of single-use plastics, sorting waste at source, planting trees, and maintaining cleanliness in public spaces.

The ward also encouraged the development of “green family,” “green residential area,” and “green street” models, while promoting community self-management in environmental sanitation. Agencies, schools, organizations, and businesses were urged to set an example by complying with environmental protection regulations, adopting cleaner technologies, reducing emissions, and strengthening awareness-raising activities.

Following the launch ceremony, provincial leaders and participants joined tree-planting activities, environmental clean-up campaigns, and waste collection efforts at parks, Nguyen Phi Y Lan Lake, the Ly Thai To Monument grounds, and other public areas throughout the ward.
