(BNP) - On the afternoon of November 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day and announced and launched the GO TO BACNINH website.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Dap emphasized that on February 24, 2005, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 36/2005/QD-TTg on taking November 23 every year as Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day. The organization of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day aims to enhance the sense of responsibility and pride of those working in protecting, preserving and promoting the value of national cultural heritage in the cause of building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity. Along with that, it contributes to educating the tradition of patriotism, national pride, and sense of responsibility to protect cultural heritage among the entire population; encouraging all social classes to actively participate in the cause of protecting and promoting the value of national cultural heritage.
Bac Ninh province currently has a huge number of cultural heritages with rich tangible and intangible cultural heritages with nearly 5,000 historical and cultural relics, 1,415 ranked relics, the land of 1,314 traditional festivals; 07 intangible cultural heritages honored by UNESCO; 02 relics of Bo Da Pagoda and Vinh Nghiem Pagoda are located in the scenic complex honored by UNESCO.
The work of protecting and promoting the cultural heritage values of the province in recent years has achieved many positive results. The system of historical and cultural relics has been given attention for restoration and embellishment, many large projects have been invested with large budgets such as: Chu But Thap, Dam Pagoda, Thanh Xuong Giang relic, Hoang Hoa Tham temple relic... The promotion of cultural heritage has been carried out systematically and diversely at home and abroad. Regulations on management, protection and promotion of cultural heritage values have been issued, the management apparatus for cultural heritage has been completed...
At the ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh officially announced and launched the GO TO BACNINH page on 04 social networking platforms including: Facebook; Youtube; Instagram; Tiktok. In particular, it posted videos introducing historical and cultural relics; traditional craft villages; typical traditional festivals; typical folk games; eco-tourism spots, hotels, accommodations in the province..., thereby, contributing to raising awareness of Bac Ninh tourism on social networking platforms; promoting, introducing and creating momentum for sustainable development of Bac Ninh province./.
