(BNP) - On the morning of June 13, at the Bac Ninh Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium (Vu Ninh ward), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the 2026 Bac Ninh Province Youth and Children Football Tournament.
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the organizing committee present commemorative flags to the participating teams.
The tournament attracted more than 130 athletes from 9 units including the Provincial Youth and Children Activity Center and the following wards and communes: Yen Trung, Tam Sơn, Vu Ninh, Kinh Bac, Mao Dien, Dong Nguyen, Lam Thao, and Dao Vien.
The athletes competed in 02 age groups: Children U10 and Youth U12. Specifically, the U10 category consisted of 5 teams competing in a round-robin format to determine rankings; the U12 category featured 8 teams divided into 2 groups, competing in a round-robin format within each group to select the teams with outstanding achievements for the semifinals and finals.

According to the plan, the 2026 Bac Ninh Province Youth and Children Football Tournament would take place from June 13 to June 22, 2026. Through the tournament, the organizing committee would discover and select talented athletes to further nurture, train, and supplement forces for the province's youth teams to participate in regional and national tournaments.
This was an annual sports activity organized to create a healthy and beneficial playground for youth and children during the summer vacation; contributing to promoting the football practice and competition movement among youths and children in the province.
At the opening ceremony, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals with outstanding achievements in developing the mass physical education and sports movement in Bac Ninh province, contributing to promoting physical training and health improvement among all classes of people.
