The European Physics Olympiad is a Physics competition for high school students from European countries and some other countries as invited guests, including Vietnam. This year's competition is scheduled to take place in Gothenburg, Sweden, from June 12-16, 2026.

The Vietnamese team participating in the 2026 EuPhO will consist of five students from the provinces and cities of Bac Ninh, Da Nang, Gia Lai, and Hue. These students were selected based on their results in the 2025-2026 National Excellent Student Competition and the results of the second round of selection for national teams participating in regional and international competitions.

For many consecutive years, Bac Ninh province has had students participating in and achieving high awards at the European Physics Olympiad. Furthermore, according to an official announcement from the Ministry of Education and Training, in 2026, Bac Ninh province will have three students selected to participate in international and regional Olympiad competitions: Than Duc Chinh and Phung Quang Hung, 12th grade students from Bac Giang Specialized High School, participating in the International Biology Olympiad; and Ta Ngoc Minh, 12th grade student from Bac Ninh Specialized High School, participating in the Asian Physics Olympiad.
