(BNP) - On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on the afternoon of July 16, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor visited and presented gifts to war invalids and sick soldiers receiving treatment and care at the Thuan Thanh War Invalids Rehabilitation Center (Ninh Xa ward, Bac Ninh Province).

The Thuan Thanh War Invalids Rehabilitation Center was established in 1965. Currently, the Center is caring for, treating, and implementing policies for 83 severely wounded and sick soldiers from 13 provinces and cities nationwide, with a disability rate of 81% or higher. Most of the war invalids are paralyzed and have to move around and live using wheelchairs or mobility scooters; 10% suffer from multiple disabilities…
At the program, representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor expressed their deep gratitude for the immense contributions and sacrifices of the wounded and disabled veterans in the struggle for national liberation and the protection of the Fatherland. They were also deeply moved and admired the veterans, who, despite their severe injuries, maintained an optimistic spirit of "disabled but not useless"; they hoped the veterans would continue to uphold the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, live happily and healthily, and strive to be shining examples for the younger generation to follow.
On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Trade Union of Goertek Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Nam Son Industrial Park - Hap Linh) presented gifts to the Thuan Thanh War Invalids Rehabilitation Center and 83 gift packages (including gifts and VND 1 million in cash) to 83 wounded and sick soldiers currently receiving treatment at the Center.
Also at the program, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a screening of the revolutionary film "Red Rain" for war invalids, sick soldiers, and staff working at the Thuan Thanh War Invalids Rehabilitation Center.
