Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee implements tasks for 2026

(BNP) - On the afternoon of January 8th, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Executive Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to summarize the leadership work of the Provincial Party Committee, emulation and reward work in 2025 and implement tasks for 2026.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Pham Tat Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Huong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Huy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

The socio-economic situation continued to achieve positive results, with 10 out of 18 targets exceeding the plan, 7 targets meeting the plan, and 1 target not meeting the plan. The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth rate is estimated at 10.27%, ranking 5th nationwide and 4th in the Red River Delta region; the GRDP (at current prices) is estimated at over VND 522.6 trillion. The economic structure continued to shift positively and in the right direction (industry and construction accounted for 71.1%; services accounted for 19.4%; agriculture, forestry and fisheries accounted for 6.5%; product taxes less product subsidies accounted for 2.92%). The total value of industrial production (at current prices) is estimated at VND 2,407,240 billion. Investment attracted reached over USD 17.6 billion in converted capital, with FDI ranking second nationwide.

Agricultural, forestry, and fisheries production received timely guidance and attention; the total value of production in the entire sector (at current prices) is estimated at VND 61,477 billion; the province has 656 farms, 415 cooperatives in the agricultural sector, 34 traditional crafts, craft villages, and traditional craft villages; and 720 OCOP products with 3 stars or higher.

Total retail sales of goods and services is estimated at VND 188,000 billion, an increase of 17.5% compared to the same period in 2024. Total state budget revenue reached VND 72,497 billion, equivalent to 127.6% of the projected figure, an increase of 34.7% compared to the same period in 2024; total state budget expenditure reached VND 60,385 billion, equivalent to 131.8% of the projected figure.

The education and training sector has achieved many outstanding results; ranking 9th nationwide in average scores for the 2025 high school graduation exams. In the 2024-2025 national and international student excellence competitions, the province is among the top provinces nationwide in terms of the number of first prizes and the total number of awards; 3 students participated in international Olympic competitions, winning 2 gold medals in regional Olympic competitions; the rate of school building modernization reached 98.6%.

During the year, 50,000 jobs were created; the rate of trained workers reached 80%; and the poverty rate decreased to 0.56%. Political security and social order were maintained, and so on.

Building on the achievements of the past year, in 2026, the Provincial Party Committee has determined to continue strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system to be clean and strong; maintaining political and social stability, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the two-level government; promoting sustainable economic growth associated with the transformation of the growth model; accelerating administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment; managing and utilizing resources effectively, protecting the environment; developing culture and society harmoniously, ensuring social security and improving the lives of the people; consolidating national defense and security, expanding foreign relations and international cooperation...

Maintain a GRDP growth rate of 12.5-13%; achieve a GRDP per capita of USD 6,350; and achieve a social labor productivity growth rate of 10% per year. Total import and export turnover will reach USD 212 billion; total state budget revenue in the area will reach VND 72,350 billion; and the urbanization rate will reach 43.6%. Average per capita income will reach VND 5.93 million/month; the poverty rate (according to the projected standard for the 2026-2030 period) will be 5%. The rate of trained labor will reach 82%; the rate of schools meeting national standards level 2 will reach 51.3%; and the rate of grassroots Party organizations and Party members completing their tasks well or better will exceed 90%...

At the meeting, 06 Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee that excellently completed their tasks in 2025 were honored with Certificates of Commendation from the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee. Many collectives and individuals received Labor Orders, Emulation Flags, and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister and the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

Concluding the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai acknowledged and commended the Party committees at all levels, all sectors, localities, units, and the people of the province for their efforts in overcoming many difficulties and challenges to successfully complete their assigned tasks; and congratulated the collectives and individuals who were honored and awarded.

To successfully complete the tasks for 2026, the Secretary requested that Party committees at all levels, sectors, localities, and units, as well as each cadre and Party member, continue to strengthen Party building and the comprehensive development of a clean and strong political system. They should strictly implement the directives of the Central and Provincial authorities regarding the key tasks and main solutions for 2026, and then concretize them to suit the practical situation of their respective sectors, localities, and units; focus on socio-economic development; promote sustainable economic growth linked to the transformation of the growth model; prioritize science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key drivers and breakthrough solutions; accelerate administrative reform and improve the investment and business environment.
