Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh receives and works with Taiwanese (China) enterprises on high-tech projects

(BNP) - On the morning of July 22nd, at the Provincial People's Committee headquarters, Mr. Pham Van Thinh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting with a delegation from GIS Group (Taiwan) to explore investment opportunities and report on an investment project in Bac Ninh province.

During the meeting, representatives of GIS Group provided an overview of their capabilities, global production network, and scale of operations. Established in 2011, GIS is a multinational corporation owning four production facilities in Asia with over 15,000 employees. To expand its scale and shift its strategy towards high-tech fields, GIS has chosen Bac Ninh as a strategic investment destination to implement its key projects in Vietnam.

In addition, GIS proposed a plan to cooperate in developing high-quality human resources with leading technical universities in Vietnam. The Group's representatives respectfully requested the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee to support and connect graduates in Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications Technology to participate in the intensive training program at GIS.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh welcomed and highly appreciated GIS Group's trust in choosing Bac Ninh as a location for investment expansion. He affirmed that Bac Ninh province always values ​​high-tech projects and is ready to create all favorable conditions in terms of administrative procedures, infrastructure, and human resources to ensure the project operates effectively as soon as possible. Simultaneously, businesses are encouraged to research and install rooftop solar power systems at their factories to promote green and sustainable development.

The Vice Chairman assigned relevant departments and agencies to proactively coordinate and guide businesses in completing the procedures for construction approval and equipment import, while also acting as a bridge to support GIS in attracting and training talent to meet the long-term development needs of the project in the province./.
