Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh visits and presents gifts to wounded and sick soldiers in Phuong Lieu ward

(BNP) - On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27), on the morning of July 18, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh along with leaders of the Department of Internal Affairs and the Provincial Military Command, visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers in Phuong Lieu ward.

Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh and the provincial delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Tran Huu Tong, born in 1928, residing in Mao Doc residential area, a war invalid with 21% disability and a resistance fighter exposed to chemical toxins with 41% disability; and Mr. Nguyen Danh Tuan, born in 1942, residing in Ha Lieu residential area, a sick soldier with 61% disability, currently in poor health, having suffered a stroke but still able to speak.

During his visits to the families, Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh cordially inquired about the health and living conditions of the wounded soldier and their families. He was also pleased to see that the wounded soldier ad overcome difficulties, with willpower and aspirations to build warm and happy families.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Vice Chairman expressed deep gratitude for the contributions of the war invalids and those who contributed to the cause of national liberation, reunification, and for the peace, independence, and freedom of the Fatherland. He hoped that the war invalids would continue to maintain good health, live happily, encourage their children and grandchildren to uphold family traditions, actively study and work, and strictly abide by the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws, contributing to the development of the locality and homeland.

Affirming that the Party, the State, and Bac Ninh province always care for the material and spiritual lives of those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, the Vice Chairman requested that all levels, sectors, and Phuong Lieu ward continue to better implement the "Gratitude and Repayment" work, providing thoughtful care for policy beneficiary families and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, in order to express profound gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of these comrades to the revolutionary cause of the nation.
