(BNP) - Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document directing the implementation of Announcement No. 234/TB-VPCP dated May 8, 2026, regarding the conclusion of Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc on the investment and construction status of Gia Binh International Airport and the connecting route to Hanoi capital.
The construction site of the Gia Binh Airport project is accelerating the execution of items.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requires agencies, units, localities, and investors, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to urgently organize the full implementation of the directed contents; timely report and advise the Provincial People's Committee on handling arising issues.
Specifically, regarding site clearance, the Provincial Management Board of Transport and Agriculture Projects No. 2 and the People's Committees of communes and wards where the project passes through are determined to ensure the handover of at least 70% of clean site before June 30, 2026; and 100% of the site before July 31, 2026, to organize simultaneous construction of the route connecting Gia Binh Airport with Hanoi Capital. Heads of agencies, units, and localities shall bear full responsibility before the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee if the site clearance progress is delayed according to the given milestones.
Investors are to urgently and actively coordinate with the province's specialized agencies to complete investment preparation procedures within May 2026; and prepare conditions to commence the project before June 15, 2026. At the same time, they must develop construction plans and schedules to ensure basic technical clearance before December 31, 2026, and strive to meet operational conditions to serve APEC 2027 before February 2027. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requires the Director of the Department of Finance to direct specialized departments to coordinate, guide, and urge investors to propose and complete dossiers to ensure timely completion.
The Department of Construction shall act as the focal point, proactively work with specialized agencies of the Ministry of Construction to advise the province on unifying technical design solutions and selecting construction organization options for intersections on the connecting road between Gia Binh Airport and Hanoi Capital, to be completed before May 20, 2026.
The Provincial Management Board of Transport and Agriculture Projects No. 2 is responsible for summarizing and periodically reporting to the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Prime Minister on the project implementation progress as regulated./.
