According to the plan, the project covers an area of approximately 9.78 hectares, located in Bac Giang Ward and Tan Dinh Commune. The objective is to invest in the construction of Welding Workshop No. 2 and supporting facilities to strengthen and complete infrastructure, meeting the demand for high-quality vocational training and significantly improving training capacity at the college. This will contribute to ensuring a high-quality skilled workforce for the province.
In addition, the project will prepare infrastructure conditions for installing ODA-funded equipment from the Government of South Korea, focusing on basic welding, high-tech welding, and shipbuilding welding equipment. It will also ensure the upgrading and supplementation of infrastructure to support workshop operations for training purposes.
The land-use structure is rationally allocated, with nearly 30% of the area designated for buildings, over 39% for green space, and more than 31% for transportation, ensuring a modern and well-ventilated learning environment. The facility system includes lecture halls, practice workshops, dormitories, sports grounds, and technical infrastructure designed in a modern and synchronized manner. Systems for electricity, water supply, drainage, and telecommunications will be undergrounded.
Notably, the project area already has existing telecommunications infrastructure, including a BTS base station on campus, ensuring 100% 5G coverage across the site. The plan also orients toward the development of a smart power grid and encourages the installation of rooftop solar energy systems for lecture halls and office buildings.
Environmental and landscape factors are also emphasized, with a high proportion of green space. The plan encourages flexible, on-site wastewater treatment solutions, the application of biological technologies for domestic wastewater treatment in academic areas, and the development of permeable landscapes and tree planting to protect and stabilize groundwater resources.
The Provincial People’s Committee has assigned the Viet–Korea Industrial Technology College in Bac Giang to coordinate with relevant agencies to publicly announce the approved plan, install boundary markers, and implement subsequent steps in compliance with legal regulations.
