(BNP) - On the morning of November 18, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC)Nguyen Hong Thai visited and inspected a number of typical agricultural production models in the two communes of Phuc Hoa and Tan Yen.
PPC’s Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai; Vice Chairwoman Lam Thi Huong Thanh and Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi along with leaders of departments and branches visit the display area of Danh Mountain Ginseng products of Duc Hanh Cooperative.
Joining the delegation were Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Lam Thi Huong Thanh; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi; leaders of relevant departments, branches, agencies and localities.
Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai and provincial leaders visited and inspected the production model of Danh Mountain Ginseng of Duc Hanh Cooperative (Hau village, Phuc Hoa commune) and the lychee and guava production areas concentrated in Hoa Minh and Lan Thinh villages (Phuc Hoa commune).
Duc Hanh Cooperative's Danh Mountain Ginseng production model began in 2022 and now spans approximately 5 hectares. Of this, approximately 4 hectares are organically grown utilizing biological products and pesticide-free. The Cooperative works with 30 households in the village to produce on a shared territory of 15 hectares. The Cooperative's major products are: fresh and dried ginseng flowers, fresh and dried ginseng roots, ginseng wine, dried roots and leaves, ginseng tea, and ginseng honey. The selling price of fresh flowers is about 50 - 60 thousand VND/kg; dried flowers are 1 million VND/kg; fresh tubers are about 1-1.5 million VND/kg

The leaders visited and inspected the concentrated guava production area of Phuc Hoa commune. The commune now contains approximately 178 hectares of guava, concentrated in the villages of Hoa Minh, Lan Thinh, Trung, Quat, Phuc Le, Phuc Dinh, and Quat Du 2. The average output is over 8,000 tons per year. The average annual selling price is 15,000 VND per kilogram. Currently, the selling price ranges from 25,000 VND/kg to 30,000 VND/kg. In 2024, pear guava goods will receive a 3-star OCOP rating. Fresh guava goods are the most popular in Bac Ninh province, as well as other provinces such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, and Hanoi.
Phuc Hoa commune's lychee producing area spans 858 hectares, with a projected output of 13,000 tons by 2025. The commune has 25 growing area codes (equal to 670 hectares), servicing export markets in the USA, Australia, Thailand, and China. Currently, the commune includes six cooperatives involved in the manufacturing of Phuc Hoa early lychee goods.

PPC’s Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts, dynamism and creativity in implementing the transformation of crop structure of farmers in Phuc Hoa commune.

The Secretary requested local Party committees and authorities to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to continue researching and applying science and technology to innovate production methods; linking with enterprises to enhance deep processing; diversifying product designs and packaging; strictly following product processing procedures to develop and create a unique brand for local agricultural products in the market, aiming to stabilize the export market and so on.
