(BNP) - On the afternoon of July 18th, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, war invalids, and meritorious services to the revolution in Gia Binh commune and Mao Dien ward on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2026).
Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son inquired about the health of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Su.
Visiting Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Su, born in 1937 and residing in Phu Du Village, Gia Binh Commune, Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son extended his warm regards and inquired about her health and daily life. He expressed profound gratitude for the tremendous sacrifices and contributions made by her family to the cause of national independence and national defense. Mother Nguyen Thi Su’s husband, Martyr Nguyen Van Tu, laid down his life during the resistance war against the United States in 1969, while her son, Martyr Nguyen Ngoc Thuy, was killed in action in 1979 during the war to defend the Fatherland.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, the Standing Vice Chairman presented gifts and wished Heroic Vietnamese Mother continued good health, happiness, and well-being, and that she would continue to be a source of spiritual support for her descendants. He affirmed that the Party, the State, and Bac Ninh province always pay attention to and care for the implementation of policies for those who have rendered meritorious service, considering this a regular task, demonstrating the responsibility, affection, and morality of the nation. He suggested that local Party committees and authorities continue to pay more attention to and take better care of the material and spiritual lives of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy beneficiary families and meritorious individuals in the area, contributing to spreading the humane and compassionate tradition throughout society.

Following that, the Standing Vice Chairman and the provincial delegation visited and presented gifts to two meritorious services to the revolution in Mao Dien ward: Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoan, born in 1943, residing in An Binh residential area, wife of Martyr Nguyen Huu Bon, who died in 1966; she has no children and currently lives with her younger brother's family; and Mr. Trinh Tu, born in 1949, residing in Thien Duc residential area, a 31% disabled veteran and resistance fighter who suffered from chemical poisoning (41%), and is in poor health.
During the visits, Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son warmly inquired about the families’ health and living conditions, while expressing his deep respect and gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions made by war veterans, policy beneficiaries, and families of meritorious service to the revolutionary cause. He emphasized that every war invalid, sick soldier, person with meritorious services, and policy beneficiary family represents a living part of the nation’s revolutionary history. Their invaluable contributions are honored not only through the Party and State’s preferential policies but also through the enduring gratitude and remembrance of future generations.

The Standing Vice Chairman hoped that the war invalids, sick soldiers, meritorious people, and their families would always maintain good health, continue to be role models, and encourage their children and grandchildren to actively study, work, and contribute to building their homeland and country.
Local Party committees and authorities need to continue paying more attention to the lives of families receiving preferential treatment, especially those who are elderly, in poor health, or living alone; proactively visiting and understanding their concerns, so that care is provided through concrete and practical actions.
The families expressed their sincere appreciation for the care and attention of the Party, the State, and local authorities at all levels. They affirmed their commitment to continuing to uphold their families’ revolutionary traditions, encouraging future generations to live responsibly, contribute to society, and help build an increasingly prosperous, modern, and civilized Bac Ninh.
