(BNP) - On April 14th, in Tu Son ward, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son worked with the Scientific Council of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Fund on the Project to Plan and Develop the Do Temple and Tu Son urban area into a center of spiritual tourism and culture, contributing to the preservation and honoring of heritage related to the Ly Dynasty.

Delegates attend the conference.

The Vietnam Cultural Heritage Foundation is a prestigious social organization founded by Professor, Labor Hero, and cultural figure Vu Khieu, recognized by the State and operating since 2016. Over the past 10 years, the Foundation has made many positive contributions to local communities in the field of research, preservation, and development of traditional culture.

Professor Doctor Dang Canh Khanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Foundation's Scientific Council, highlighted the following points during his speech at the working session: The Ly Dynasty had a very important place in our nation's history. The Vietnamese nation's long-lasting existence was firmly established by the Ly Dynasty. The wise and enlightened kings Ly Thai To to Ly Thai Tong, Ly Thanh Tong, and Ly Nhan Tong all triumphed in every conflict (calming the Champa Kingdom in the South and opposing the Song Dynasty in the North), unmistakably establishing the nation's territorial integrity against foreign powers and ushering in a period of "Peace and Prosperity."

The Ly Dynasty also established Thang Long as the capital, laying a solid foundation in economics, culture, education, law, and methods of governing the country... forming the basic basis for later Vietnamese civilization and values. The Ly Dynasty also valued traditional customs and practices, opened schools, organized the first imperial examinations, selected talented individuals, and established the administrative apparatus and methods of governing the country...

The implementation of the planning and developing the Do Temple, the Tu Son urban area, and surrounding regions into a cultural and spiritual tourism center has significant educational value, preserves and honors heritage related to the Ly Dynasty, and simultaneously meets the needs of economic, cultural, social, and tourism development not only for Bac Ninh but also domestically and internationally.

During the meeting, experts from the Scientific Council of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Foundation raised many important and profound issues aimed at affirming and clarifying the special position and role of the Ly Dynasty in the history of the nation and its connection with the Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac region.

The values regarding governance, educational development, civilization building, and national cultural identity that were formed from the Ly Dynasty to the present day remain relevant and need to be further studied, revived, and promoted.

In his concluding remarks, the Standing Vice Chairman expressed his sincere gratitude to the scientists for their insightful, intelligent, and responsible contributions, which have profound practical significance for Bac Ninh province.

On this occasion, he proposed and hoped that scientists would continue to pay attention to researching and advising on solutions for preserving, restoring, and promoting the value of the tombs of the Ly Dynasty kings, ensuring they are scientific, practical, and rich in historical and spiritual significance.
